It's been a long time coming, but Gearbox has announced that Borderlands 2 will be getting a level cap increase as per the first game, with 11 extra levels to attain. This will take the level cap up to 61 like the first Borderlands.
"Who's excited for the Borderlands 2 level cap increase releasing April 2? We're cranking it up by 11, adding a third playthrough and more!" Gearbox tweeted.
That's not all though, as the sixth Vault Hunter has been revealed too. His name's Krieg and he's a 'Psycho' class character who's an escaped lab experiment and wields a buzz axe. More details on the character are promised soon, but Krieg will be releasing in May for 800 Microsoft Points.
The Borderlands 2 level cap will also cost 400 MSP, or is available as part of the Season Pass. The update landing on April 2nd as well as raising the level cap will also add Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode for players at level 50 and above.
And finally, Gearbox has also been teasing the fourth expansion for Borderlands 2 during PAX East, with Tiny Tina shown playing a board game called 'Bunkers & Badasses' with the Vault Hunters in their Sanctuary hideout. It's apparently set to be the biggest add-on yet and is slated for June.
