Scheduled for an autumn 2013 release in western territories, Armored Core: Verdict Day has received a big batch of new screenshots and a new 'Siege' trailer showing some heavily mechanised action.

Famed for its robot customisation, the latest Armored Core is set to include more options for building your very own bespoke mechs to take into battle, with heads, arms, torso and legs all interchangeable.

Check out the new Siege trailer below and a handful of screens. You can view all 17 of them in the gallery. Armored Core: Verdict Day is out on September 26th, 2013 in Japan, and is heading west this autumn, or fall if you prefer.

I've always loved this flawed series. AC always has huge ambitions then troubled releases. Here's hoping they can bring it back with this one.

So is this a follow-up to Armored Core V like Armored Core: For Answer was to 4? That 'V' in Verdict Day looks mighty suspicious.

I've been craving a new Armored core game. Building and tinkering around with my giant mech is always fun. Now if we could only get Koei to make a sequel to Warship Gunner 2 I'd be in customization heaven.

I loved the AC franchise, but if multiplayer has locked region like ACV did then it will be no buy for me

This is nothing like MW in terms of gameplay. AC has always been fast moving mechs, typically flying but tank and quad are around too. AC is much more arcade and MW is more sim. Both games feature excessive customization, AC has more options but that could be a function of the current generation of games since it has been more than a decade since the last MW game.
