Skyrim: Legendary Edition Listing Emerges
Written By
View author's profile

A retailer listing for Skyrim: Legendary Edition has popped up online.

The boxed product contains the award-winning Bethesda RPG itself, as well as all of the game’s DLC, including Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn. Listed by a Polish retailer, the compilation - for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC - costs around 169.90 Polish thingies, which is around £35 / $54, on console.

It’s the first time we’ve seen such a compilation and it has yet to be officially announced by Bethesda. It does make sense though, considering that the developer and publisher has recently announced that no more content will be produced for Skyrim.

We’ll bring further details once Bethesda officially unveils the package.

They have such a great game here that is still in the top 20, it's just stupid to stop making DLC now.

Doesn't do much for me now, but I can't say I regret paying full price for everything. Here's to the ending of a fantastic, insanely open and vivid game, and to the new adventure Bethesda will be throwing at us. Let it come, let it come I'd say.

I got excited when I saw the Bethesda logo in the tag picture because I thought it was going to be the new game announcement. However this news is equally as welcome.

I'm with @3 and @7

Sure i'd have loved more DLC just to make my adventure longer, but what we have is more than enough & i'm happy Bethesda gave us some amazing DLC already :)

£35 is a bargain for those who haven't played Skyrim yet. I only got it last year, and I own all 3 DLC Packs, and have had so much fun exploring, upgrading, slaying & Riding Dragons and the freedom to go wherever you want to go, the sheer amount if things to do and take in is amazing.

No two people's saves will be the same, I can guarantee that.

2 discs or streamlined into 1? If the latter, it's almost worth a double dip to save the HDD installs..

"Legendary" edition?! Is this going to include some "Halo" collectibles?!! :-p (JK)

I wonder if they're NOT going to call it the "Game Of The Year" edition - because we expect it???

It would be VERY cool... if the "Legendary" edition also had some "new" extras that are ONLY available from this edition!!! :-)

Good value. Hearthfire is pretty much a waste of time, but the main game, Dawnguard and Dragonborn all add a substantional amount to the game. Dragonborn was especially good imo. Really enjoyed that game and as Meatloaf would say, 2/3 ain't bad... though I don't think he was talking about DLC.

"It’s the first time we’ve seen such a compilation"

no its not. there were a ton of reports across the net about the ultimate edition of skyrim back when amazon's french site listed it in early march and it got screen capped before its removal.

Everyone knew this was coming, but I don't think anyone expected it immediately on the heels of the official "Skyrim is no more" announcement from Bethesda.

Oblivion and Fallout bored me to tears, but everyone I talk to says Skyrim improved upon everything in Oblivion. This all-in-one is what I was waiting for to try out Skyrim, and the price is exactly what I wanted it to be.

This is the one game I happily paid full price (for all the DLC) the day they came out.

#31- when did Left for Dead 2 come out? 2009? And it got DLC within the last year. Soooo...I don't think Skyrim is too old to get new DLC. Sadly, there will be no more.

I really wish Bethesda didn't hype up the amount of DLC they were gonna do before they released Skyrim. The two Shivering Isle sized DLC with several smaller ones really had me excited for much more than what we got...
But don't get me wrong I loved what we got! Even hearthfire! I don't see why that gets so much hate. ^^

I know they also released a large amount of free content in title updates(don't forget that people!) but I want my last Shivering Isle sized DLC. :/ Anyways I cannot deny how great my adventure was. Bethesda. Thank you! This long time fan looks forward to your next adventure.

Ah, I've been waiting for this since Skyrim was first announced. It'll look nice sitting between my Oblivion GOTY and Fallout 3 GOTY. Hope the release for it is in the near future, as I've been looking forward to playing this game for quite a while.

@3 The game certainly has a massive amount to offer. I think my clock ended after my final achievement at 247 hours but given all the recent updates you could probably finish it up, just from an achievement stand point, in maybe 40-50 hours tops.

But Skyrim shouldn't simply be played for achievements. It should be experienced for the masterpiece that it is.

@17 : "Game of the Year" is a crappy name, especially when it's more or less a false statement.

"Game of the Year" itself means it can only be for one game per year (and not for every game which is reselled with the DLCs).

Those editions should rather be named "Complete Edition" (like "Saints Row : The Third" where they called it "The Full Package").

Yay! I've been waiting to get Skyrim until they released a complete package since I don't have high speed internet access where I live. It would be great if it came out in time for Christmas! I'd add it to my list which so far consists of only GTA5 LoL

@45 However for Skyrim that could have been an accurate titling had it been called "GOTY" as it was pretty much unanimously the 2011 Game of the Year.

I don't think there is an official chart, except if you take the game which sell the most each year, and it's probably "Call of Duty" :/ (at it would be the game of the year of 2013).

What I was saying, anyway, is that I often read "oh, a game of the year edition" for each game which release a complete version, which is silly (you can have crappy games which would release complete edition of them, and call those crappy games "Game of the Year" would be silly).

I mean, you can't have 20 "game of the year" per year.

So, I find that "Legendary Edition" is a smart title. "Complete/Full Edition " that are sometimes used are also smart ones.

Seriously, dude?! Why are you repeating yourself? You already made YOUR point at #45... why do you NEED to do it again?!! You're making more waves about what the game is or isn't called... and NO ONE was saying that it should be called anything in particular ("I" only commented that it was odd that it isn't being called the "Game Of The Year" edition).

Good luck getting people to not type GOTY instead of Legendary. Most people will go for the shorter name - even if it isn't correct, because everyone will know what they mean.

Also... my final comment in #17 referred to it as the "Legendary" edition... so get over yourself!! A smarter title would be "Ultimate Edition" (but that's MY opinion).

@52 : Because it's boring to always see this statement and because I was answering to him ? :)

Maybe people will call things with the right name now, that would be cool ;) (Whatever, Legendary or not, but not GOTY, my eyes cries each time I'm seeing this acronym used incorrectly :D)

They've supported the game for 18 months after release, so really I'm not too fussed if there is no more DLC planned. Not many games get the kind of after sales support as Bethesda have provided Skyrim.

Now its time for them to move on and get working on the next big title, be it Fallout 4, Elder Scrolls VI or whatever.
