Microsoft's IllumiRoom "Envisions a Next Generation Gaming Console"

Microsoft’s cutting-edge IllumiRoom technology, which turns rooms into game worlds, may be a part of the next Xbox.
That’s the suggestion from a new video which describes the tech in the following fashion: "IllumiRoom envisions a next-generation gaming console with a projector that sits on your coffee table and surrounds your television with projected light."
"IllumiRoom can extend the gaming content out of your TV, creating a truly immersive experience. Or we can selectively show game elements, like explosions, or make it snow in our living room."
The video arrives ahead of a new demonstration of IllumiRoom at the CHI 2013 event in Paris tomorrow.
At the moment the tech is merely proof-of-concept, by as Microsoft begins to outline the direction in which its Research is heading, we wouldn’t be surprised to see IllumiRoom pop up on the next Xbox in some form or another.
