Hellraid
Techland to Embark Upon a Bloody Hell Raid With 'Hellraid'
Written By

Techland has today formally that its 'Project Hell' announced back in August 2012 is Hellraid, the Dead Island and Call of Juarez dev's new first-person co-op hack and slasher that pits four players against the horrific demons and denizens of hell in a story-driven battle.

You'll also battle your fellow adventurers as you fight for points, rewards and fame, while exploring a hellish world, looting, questing, crafting weapons, customising your armour, upgrading your character, wielding magic to fight bosses and more. Hellraid uses something called the 'Game Master system' that randomly generates online challenges and places loot and enemies in different locations each time you play.

Hellraid will also boast leaderboards for competing with the global community. Techland's Hellraid will be raised from the depths of hell later this year. Check out a bit of art and the first three screenshots below.

If it was made by Bethesda it would be good, BUT it would also be full of bugs, I havn't been able to complete Oblivion due to the fact everytime I get to the thieves guild it glitches out and the guy suppose to be giving telling me where to go never shows up.

Sounds interesting but I'm 95% sure that the "hellish world" isn't going to be anything like I imagine an Hellish world to be and that always dissapoints me at games like these. Doom games did it right.

@2 If you think about it really, developers do a damn good job considering how massive open world games are. All games have bugs, it just depends if they are willing to fix them. Oblivion is a few years old so that's why Bethesda probably have not released a patch but with Skyrim they were patching it a few times a week almost.

OT. Could turn out alright, 4 player co-op is always tons of fun with friends!

looks like a terrible ripoff of Skyrim with a bit of Diablo thrown in. After the terrible Call of Juarez and even worse Dead Island games, I don't understand why this company keeps making terrible games.

@6

Game size is not really an excuse, the bottom line is these things are not been fully tested, or even significantly tested before release and you are therefore paying full price for an unfinished product.

I don't have much of an issue with bugs every now and again, but games like new Vegas just blatantly don't work, and the amount of times Skyrim has had to be patched is just laughable.

@10 or we could go back to the "good" ole days when games were released broken and there was nothing that could be done about it

@6 That's such a bad excuse though. Just because the game is big, doesn't mean it's allowed to have bugs. They still release their games knowing that their broken. Look at PS3. They got the DLC like a year later because Bethesda was lazy with fixing the problems.

I think this game looks pretty sweet, I will be waiting on some gameplay vids before I make my final decision.

Also, because a game has bugs in it doesnt mean it is broken or unfinished. No game is perfect.

I played dead island for about 80 hours and didnt encounter 1 glitch.

I'm looking forward to this one for sure it looks and sounds like a co-op skyrim type game and that can only be a good thing, Dead Island was fine but Riptide glitched out on chapter 2, but that might have been because I ram raided a small trailer with a civvy on, killing him and loads of zombies, oh and seriously guys, I haven't seen one thread on this entire site where someone hasn't posted complaining about something, if your expecting perfection then you are going to be disappointed every time because perfection does not exist, I'd like to see you make something that NO-ONE would bitch about in fact I bet you couldn't and if you really are that bothered by games being buggy why not become a games tester and quit whining about it.

Interest. I keep my eyes on this one. Dead Island is good and better then Riptide. I not pleased with Riptide because it is many problematic then original had. But yeah DI and Riptide came with fill of buggy.

I weren't sure about this new IP game that might come with another Techland's famous buggy Franchises.

pretty hard to have a game like new vegas bug free, they could play test it for a freakin year and still run into problems. That's the problem with games that let you go where you want when you want, the order you do the quests or missions affect it too, I have no problems with beth's games because I know its next to impossible to make them bug free and I enjoy the freedom of it all
