It had it's critics for sure, but we rather enjoyed the original Dead Island. It didn't take itself too seriously, and its brand of zombie bludgeoning proved quite enjoyable, especially when playing in co-op with friends. Enter Dead Island: Riptide, a sort of semi-sequel that introduces floods and adverse weather conditions to the formula.
With the first plagued by bugs and issues, Riptide is Techland's chance to make good on the promise of the first game, delivering more of that entertaining zombie slaughter, but hopefully with more polish. Is Dead Island: Riptide a successful follow-up or a soggy pile of zombie poop?
