It would be great if there were two Next-Gen Fallout game!Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 08:13 AM
Obsedian games are awesome!Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 08:14 AM
Hopefully Obsidian doesn't get fucked over by yet another publisher this time...Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 08:18 AM
@#4 Nice GamerpicThursday, May 02, 2013 @ 08:19 AM
@1 It's from Fallout:NV - The Lonesome Road. Developed by Obsidian.Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 08:22 AM
Next gen Fallout by Obsodian would be great! I loved New Vegas and although Bethesda has Fallout 4 coming next gen, two Fallouts would be awesome!!Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 08:23 AM
Obsidian games are normally full of bugs but they are always really fun regardless. i played the shit out of new vegas.Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 08:30 AM
NV sucked big time compared to fallout 3 though. Never seen so many bugs in a game, and I mean game breaking bugs. Doors that won't open anymore so you can't continue the game, falling through the floor, being stuck in some rock and not being able to get unstuck again. So if they make a new Fallout game for the next gen, please let Bethesda make it themselves, don't let Obsidian near it. Fallout 3 was the bomb, NV sucked ass.Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 08:54 AM
@9 You suck big time compared to every other user though.Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 09:22 AM
Can't wait to play this on PS4.Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 09:23 AM
I would love a full Obsidian RPG with a third-person and combat dynamic such as GOW. A full open world with quests and loot AND a good story. But with intense combat.Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 09:27 AM
As much I would really love another Fallout, I think the key word here maybe 'Unique' unfortunately. But on the bright side they also said the phrase 'role-playing' so it gets my attention.Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 09:33 AM
Omega Protocol. Make it happen, Obsidian.Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 09:40 AM
Just finish South Park, that's all I want :(Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 09:44 AM
Why are people giving #9's comment thumbs down? NV really was trash compared to 3.Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 10:03 AM
I think Bethesda have the rights to the next fallout, so it wont be thatThursday, May 02, 2013 @ 10:05 AM
@#16 A common case of fact vs. opinion.Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 10:06 AM
I liked FO3 better, and NV was slightly buggier, but NV is hardly trash. It's pretty great, actually. (Note: I didn't downvote anyone though, I don't do that)Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 10:19 AM
I'm with #15 - Where the fuck is the Stick of Truth, dammit!Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 10:36 AM
Its not the highest funded game on Kickstarter, Planescape isThursday, May 02, 2013 @ 10:42 AM
NV trumps 3 in every aspect. (3 was immense btw). some people had groundbreaking bugs, most had none at all. waiting on Fallout 4Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 10:52 AM
I WANT FALLOUT 4, failing that if I could get New Vegas DLC half price that would be reallly great. :) (Office Space - Ref)Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 11:36 AM
Fallout 4 would be nice, but KOTOR 3 would be better.Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 12:07 PM
@15 & 20 I believe The Stick of Truth is already a finished deal, the game was delayed due to THQ going under so the license had to be bought and all that good legal stuff before it can be released.Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 12:42 PM
Haha man, is this site crowded by little children these days? Damn haha. Feels almost like a dictatorial country, where you can't express your opinion. Yes Fallout NV had alot of bugs, yes more then Fallout 3, yes it felt like some extra DLC for Fallout 3. Now let the negative comments begin. It's an opinion! Jeez. Except the bugs part, thats just a fact ;)Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 12:53 PM
hopefully it's not another awful fallout game.Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 12:54 PM
You can bet there'll be a new fallout game on may 21st on a new xbox console.Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 01:18 PM
"Unique"Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 01:32 PM
I thought New Vegas had a fantastic sense of humor! I didn't run into nearly as many bugs as some people claimed, and I purchased it within the first week. I look forward to Obsidian's next gen, whatever it may be. I'm also anxiously awaiting their South Park RPG that's been in limbo thanks to THQ's incompetence. I also pledged for their Kickstarter game as well. They're an under appreciated company.Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 01:45 PM
Please be a new fallout game, it's all I want!Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 03:27 PM
We've got out ingredients, now we can cook.Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 04:06 PM
I didn't realize Obsidian was big enough to already be working on a next gen game when South Park hasn't come out yet. I want South Park!Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 04:15 PM
Like others have said, can we please just have South Park already!?Thursday, May 02, 2013 @ 04:40 PM
I honestly like both Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. Both had there own issues, but I wouldn't change anything other than the price of DLC. Cheaper to get the Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition for 12.99 and Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition 27.99 with all the DLC at Gamestop. Hope to have the similar content on Fallout 4 and the next generation game.Friday, May 03, 2013 @ 12:25 AM
I loved Fallout 3, but Fallout New Vegas was just better. Iron sights were a big step up, along with weapon mods, skill magazines, the merge of Big Guns and Small guns, companion characters who were actually interesting to talk to, Though Fawkes was very interesting, there were no character missions for FO3 characters really. Add in the DLC and the epic story behind the Couriers, and New Vegas was just a natural step up. Even if it was buggy, if you're even remotely good at RPGs, you save often enough that it doesn't matter, and if you really appreciate the game (because it is good) then having to restart it every so often doesn't matter much. As for this topic, I really hope it's either another Fallout or KOTOR 3. Either would make me very happy.Friday, May 03, 2013 @ 01:15 AM
Hopefully they don't release a game with even more bugs than Bethesda again... Of course, I didn't have any bugs with my copies of any Fallout or Elder Scrolls games on 360.Friday, May 03, 2013 @ 04:10 AM
i remember reading quite a while back that obsidian won the licence for a wheel of time game, robert jordan agreed all of this whilst he was alive and licenced obsidian to produce a game or series of games staying true to the wot story. (it would be about time to be fair as the wot is one of the richest and most detailed fanatsy epic of decades) the franchise deserves a decent game, if anyone has up to date info confirming or rubbishing this then post it as i cant find any info since 2011Friday, May 03, 2013 @ 04:21 AM
@ 14 - Assuming that is an Alpha Protocol sequel, hell yes. If they could fix all the little issues with a game like Alpha Protocol, they could make it one of the best games going at the moment. AP was great, but flawed. Fix those flaws and you have a game that I'd buy in a heartbeat. And while New Vegas was buggy, I did enjoy that game quite a lot. It's not as good as Fallout 3, but still worth playing.Monday, May 06, 2013 @ 11:49 AM
cant wait

Obsidian Entertainment is advertising for a level designer role to help create a "unique next generation game".
The Fallout: New Vegas developer is calling for someone with "a love of role-playing and action games,” to “work closely with artists to produce interesting 3D levels with exciting, engaging gameplay. Responsibilities will include planning and populating missions/quests, scripted sequences, encounters, challenges and rewards."
In addition to this, Obsidian is also looking for a user interface and experience artist for a next-gen project, which is presumably one and the same. The studio is also developing a title called Project Eternity for PC, Mac and Linux, which became the highest-backed game on Kickstarter (for a bit).
We're sure you don't need reminding, but the next generation Xbox is set to be revealed on May 21st.
