Spies vs. Mercs was a blast in Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory, so we're happy to hear of its return in Splinter Cell: Blacklist. And what's more, Pandora Tomorrow's Spies vs. Mercs Creative Director, Gunther Galipot is back on board for the Blacklist version.
You can learn all about Splinter Cell: Blacklist's two Spies vs. Mercs modes in the new Ubisoft ComDev video, which features discussions with both Galipot and the rest of the creative team working on bringing back the multiplayer mode, which features both Classic SvM and Blacklist SvM modes.
Classic Spies vs. Mercs is the same old 2v2 mode you'll remember from Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory, while Blacklist Spies vs. Mercs is a 4v4 spin with an array of customisation options. As ever, Spies play in third-person and are charged with stealthy infiltration, while Mercs adopt a first-person perspective and has you playing a more defensive, shooty role.
