Remember Me Pre-Orders Offer Up Bonus Street Fighter Moves
Written By
View author's profile

It seems fitting that Remember Me pre-orders in North America are offering Street Fighter moves to add to Nilin's repertoire, given that SF IV maestro Yoshinori Ono has been offering combat advice for the game. You can read more in our hands-on preview.

Pre-order Remember Me from Amazon or Best Buy, and you can get the Combo Lab Pack, which bundles three Street Fighter pressen fighting moves. For the uninitiated, pressens are Nilin's moves that each have specific properties, like regen, damage or cooldown attributes.

You can see more of Nilin's pressens in the video below. Pre-ordering Remember Me from GameStop/EB Games will net you a Dark Horse comic book, which features a prequel story starring Nilin. Check out the various pre-order gubbins below. Remember Me is out on June 4th in North America and June 7th in Europe.

Every game does it, on top of it, pre-ordering does fuck all in terms of total sales or playing the game any better, they need to stop releasing exclusive pre-order bonuses, it's bullshit.

The pre-order bonuses all come out a few weeks after so if you really want to wait, you can.. then maybe pay a little less after launch and pay extra for the DLC. All up to you :)

@3 what difference does it make to you? If you want to pay a tiny bit of extra money at launch you get some gimmicky crap then go ahead and if you don't then don't, it does not affect you at all. Devs also know the pre-order numbers before a game is released and will likely gauge early on weather or not the game is going to be a success based on those numbers, it is also likely that the pre-order numbers will dictate weather or not they make DLC.

@6 Dragon Punch (DP) is the umbrella term for all shoryuken-like moves. Thats why the motion forward,down,down-forward is commonly referred to as a "dp-motion." Sagats Tiger Uppercut, for example, is not a shoryuken but it is a dragon punch.

If I may make a suggestion to the site admins;

You guys should look into signing a deal with Kleenex so you can provide a complimentary box of tissues for all the crying that goes on around here.

@3

Preorder bonuses were originally just used as a way for them to get a good estimate on day one purchases.

But then someone (epic i think) offered multiple preorder bonuses and saw that quite a few people were buying more than one copy so they could get it all, so others followed the money trail I can't blame them really the preoder bonus devil is the consumers fault.

I remember when things like these would be easter eggs in the game, free of charge. Now it's a cheap way to get people to spend $60 on a game immediately.

@14 They are free of charge... You don't have to pay extra to pre order.
