Aliens: Colonial Marines has sold over 1.3 million units, SEGA has revealed.
That figure is accurate up until the end of the company’s fiscal year ending March 31st, and with the game still hanging around the charts like a stink, it seems likely to creep towards 1.5 million.
All this despite being utterly, utterly shite, enduring allegations of pre-release trickery and some muddy accusations about who actually made the damn thing. That’s the power of a strong brand.
Thankfully, however, the really-quite-good Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed was SEGA’s biggest seller, beating Aliens: Colonial Marines by 50,000 units, (although it was released on more platforms).
Earlier today it was revealed that Aliens: Colonial Marines co-developer TimeGate has laid off all its staff, following a legal battle with publisher SouthPeak Interactive.
