In its latest financial report, Ubisoft has revealed a whole bunch of interesting facts and figures, with sales for the year surpassing £1 billion, resulting in net profits of £90 million. Contributing to this substantial profit - a significant rise on last year's £70 million net profit - were strong sales of key franchise sequels Assassin's Creed III and Far Cry 3.
Far Cry 3 has shipped more than 6 million copies, while Assassin's Creed III has shipped 12.5 million units since launch, achieving a company record in the process. What's more, OTT 80s action-packed Far Cry 3 spin-off Blood Dragon has become the "fastest selling downloadable title in Ubisoft history."
Ubisoft has also confirmed that following the departure of Patrice Désilets, 1666 - one of the projects Désilets and his team were working on - has been suspended, although two new titles are in the works. It seems that Ubisoft is making more big moves with ACIV: Black Flag, Watch Dogs, Rayman Legends, Splinter Cell: Blacklist and more on the horizon.
