GRID 2 Launch Trailer Burns Rubber

Codemasters has released the official launch trailer for GRID 2 and it’s got cars in it and stuff.

GRID 2 tore off the start line in North America on Tuesday and it’s out today in the UK. In an historic first, we designed the achievement list, the first time any website has been allowed to create an entire list for a game. And it’s totally the best list ever. Probably. Well it has a Taylor Swift reference in it anyway.

Have a look at the trailer below. You can read Rich’s review of the game (but not the achievements) through here.

You might have answered this before, so sorry if you have, but if there was DLC achievements would you also be making those?

It's very much an arcade racer IMO, kind of a cross between Dirt and Forza Horizon, with no cockpit view :( but it's still fun, well at least the first few hours have been... so far, I do find these games get very repetitive though after a couple of hours in, so will see.

I'd normally be very interested, Grid was one of the more fun racing games I've played on 360. However, my current backlog is so long I'm not sure I'll finish even half of the games before Xbone or PS4 comes out. Still, I'm tempted to break that pact with myself to get this game.

@ 5 - Interesting question

The achievements are just standard fair with very little imagination or originality. Apart from some of the names, their basically just about what I would have expected had codemasters done them. Perhaps next time my 4 year old daughter could have a go, at least she's got an imagination

ive got no problem with the achievements as such, but the only thing is, ive played through most of the career and the achievements just keep popping up during the normal course of play... so im not having to put much effort in to actually get them, so it doesent really give you much of a sense of ACHIEVEMENT.. great game tho..

Warning for people with wheels: The support is wretched! It will need to be patched before it is playable. Have not seen mention of this except in the Fanatec forums.

Disappointed with Cheevos full of popular culture references but out of place for a racing game, these do not equal good achievements but this may be down to the tracking options provided by Codemasters. Also multiple pre-orders offering different tracks and cars ,and extensive day1 dlc. If this was an EA title you would be out with the torches baying for blood, yet CM and Ubi get away with it

I love CM racing games but their use of a pass and the lack of after support never gets mentioned as much as EA and their online passes. At least you could get a trial on EA games MP, Codemasters forget about it...

The achievement list is okay, not the best. Ive been pretty frustrated trying to score 350k in japan, and the two timed ones are also a bit tedious. But I just think there was too many references. Like drive faster then a russian torpedo? Lol but this game is one of the best racers i have ever had the honor to play. Forza and grid will always have my heart :)

@14 exactly , what the funk has Taylor Swift go to do whith the GRID series or racing games? Vanishing point references yes but TS and other pop culture refs ate out of place and will age very badly
