This week's Windows Phone release is Gameloft's shooter N.O.V.A. 3 (for "Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance), available exclusively for the Windows Phone 8 operating system. It was originally announced as a Nokia exclusive as well, but that appears to have only happened in India, where oddly the game is also available for free. The Indian version doesn't appear to be working properly though, the MP and Live functionality being completely broken.

The rest of the world can click here to get the proper 1017MB download for $6.99.

"Four months have passed since Kal ruined the Volterites' plans by sabotaging their war factories and stopping the extraction of the Judger Artifacts. However, following the assassination of President Folsom, the government surrendered the colonies to the Volterite Protectorate in order to prevent civil war.Kal Wardin has been laying low since Folsom’s death, but now he has received a desperate plea from Yelena to come to Earth. Once again, the hero must rise to save mankind!"

  • I totally need MOGA controller support for these games. Both this and Modern Combat are so top notch for mobile games but suffer from the lack of real buttons.
  • You can download the free Nokia version by switching your phone's region to India and then using the link in the article, though as it states there may currently be some problems accessing the MP.
  • I have this on iOS so how is it exclusive? Unless it is exclusive just because it isn't on phone 7 and only phone 8.
  • @3 do u get chevos with this game on ios? DUH no!!!!
  • @3: Correct, I was referring to it being exclusive to the WP8 as opposed to being available on all WP devices.
  • Not totally a Halo clone... Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight
  • It really sucks that I just bought the HTC 8S. Its a good phone for its price, but I did not realize that you can not store apps and games on a Micro SD card. That phone only has 4 Gb internal storage, and 2.7 Gb is used for the OS and some apps. Im affraid I cant change the phone cause the packaging is damaged already. I guess ill just buy a 8gb Nokia Lumia or something. Unless there is a way to store games on a SD card.
