Metro: Last Light’s first chunk of single-player DLC has been delayed, Deep Silver has revealed.

Initially planned for release this month, the Faction Pack will now hit in mid-July on all platforms.

“I know those of you who have bought the Season Pass have been eagerly awaiting the first Pack, and I'm really sorry to have to make you wait longer than expected,” Maurice Tan, Deep Silver’s International Community Manager, said on the game's Steam forum.

“There were some challenges along the way and we want to make the Faction Pack a solid and unique single-player addition to Metro: Last Light's campaign. I hope you can be patient for a little longer, while we continue to work on making sure it will be worth your while.”

Tan added, “The other Packs will be released over the 60 days following the release of the Faction Pack.”

Meanwhile, the DLC’s Steam achievements have been revealed, presumably pointing to what we can expect on Xbox 360. You can see them through here.

Metro: Last Light’s Season Pass costs 1200 Microsoft Points and entitles you to (in the words of Deep Silver):

  • The ‘Faction Pack’ and the ‘Chronicles Pack’ will include new, original single player gameplay that expands on the Metro: Last Light universe and story
  • The ‘Tower Pack’ will present a unique solo challenge to Metro veterans
  • Meanwhile, the ‘Developer Pack’ will give creative players some interesting tools with which to explore the world of Metro…

I still don't like putting money upfront for season passes because you never really know what you're getting. Plus they almost always have delays of some sort (looking at you, Max Pane 3 season pass).

Every season pass I've ever bought, I've been disappointed in some way or another. I'm hoping the GTA5 season pass goes smooth as it's R*'s third attempt at one.

Season Passes, Day One DLC, Pre Order Incentives, Microtransactions, (now defunct)Online Passes, etc.. I'm a bit sick of it all. I liked the old days when you got what you paid for in one, single purchase and if you enjoyed the product, you waited eagerly for a sequel. Those days are long gone..

At first glance, I saw Metro and DLC so I started celebrating with Russian Vodka. At second glance, I saw Metro DLC delayed so I sat sadly still drowning my sorrow with Russian vodka.

If you want to use the tools dlc you could wait until the tool dlc is out then start the 1st dlc, wait longer but would be worth it.

Wow, 18 achievements is a lot for a DLC (and the Steam completion percentages for the achievements are pretty weak, what's up PC users?).

How long is this thing?

Ah, I don't care, just gimme!

I'll wait for you 4A, because unlike other companies your DLC isn't a disc locked pos.
