Codies' rather marvellous GRID 2 is set to receive a dose of DLC today with the Super Modified Pack, which adds four rare editions of cars to race across the game's single-player, split-screen and multiplayer modes. All four cars have been modified for the highest possible performance.

The Super Modified Pack includes:

  • Auto Gallery Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32) – this iconic edition of the Skyline develops a huge 890hp at 8100 RPM from its 2.8 litre turbo-charged engine.
  • Tomei Cusco Subaru Impreza WRX STI – the industry leading Aerodynamics kit from Voltex combines with a 4WD system to deliver huge amounts of grip and precision.
  • Mazda RX-7 PANSPEED – this record breaking car’s new engine is positioned deep inside the bay for a low centre of mass and perfect weight distribution.
  • 5ZIGEN Honda Civic Super Modified – this lightning quick front-engine, front-wheel-drive racer is the ultimate turbo-charged example of the classic Honda Civic.

You can check out the modified cars hitting Brands Hatch in Time Attack mode in the new trailer showing off the DLC. The Super Modified Pack will be coming to GRID 2 later today for 480 Microsoft Points.

GRID 2 was a massive let down. Single player although good was too short and the online was full of the usual dickheads unable to drive the slowest of cars around the slightest of bends but it also lacked that certain something. The original GRiD kept me going for 20-30hrs but the online on this had me walking away after a 20-30min session. I'm glad I played it but was happy to trade it in the end.

I very much doubt this, or any future DLC, will contain extra achievements.

Yeah I've just finished this up. Really enjoyed the single player while it lasted, online was an unfair mess though (lower level players having the worst cars, massive advantage going to higher level players)

nothing left to do on the game and extra cars won't change that.

That's good but I never thought a Subaru was a racing car. :P

The wheel support (or lack thereof) was massively disappointing. Possibly my most quickly dropped game of all time, and I was so excited to get it too.

Yeah, I'm on my last achievement (friggin' World Domination) and then I will sell this as well. Though I had fun with it it is nowhere as good as the first one. I really liked the 3-part structure of the first, drifting in Japan, EuroCars in Europe and the City-Courses in the USA.
San Francisco was so awesome in the first, as was the drifting in Yokohama. The drifting here is BS, as is the multiplayer. One 3 minute race, then back to lobby, waiting waiting waiting, after 2 minutes you are back on the road again.
Multiplayer in Grid 1 at least had sessions that went over 3 courses, race to race to race, without having to wait for ages between them.
And where is Les Mans, and Spa, and all the other great F1/DTM-Tracks?

Very disappointed with the core game, so the majority of the DLC will more than likely be a pass for me.

considering GRID 1 was boring as hell, and they managed to make GRID2 even more boring, I'll pass. I remember when they aid they were gonna release a series of dlc's for GRID 1, then they only ever released the 8 Ball pack. And now this, 4 cars for $6, are you kidding me. Nope. Codemasters has lost their touch with the racing genre, Dirt 3 sucked, Dirt Showdown sucked even more, F! 2012 was lame, and Grid 2 is a bland excuse for a racing game.
