Lexis Numerique, the developer responsible for AMY and Red Johnson's Chronicles, currently at work on a 're-imagining' of Flashback for Ubisoft, is also looking to crowd fund a quirky Tim Burton-esque platform adventure called Taxi Journey, via a Kickstarter campaign. It promises adventure, puzzling, quests and byroads as Gino and Zoe embark upon their eponymous journey.
Featuring a quirky art style with offbeat characters and storyline, Taxi Journey takes place in a universe filled with charm, humour and mystery, and is inspired by games like Limbo, Braid and Machinarium. Lexis Numerique is looking to raise $230,000 to get the project off the ground, with stretch goals in place for an XBLA version.
Should the Kickstarter campaign for Taxi Journey reach $360,000, an Xbox Live Arcade version will go into development, with an extra level called 'The Village in the Sky' being added to the adventure. Check out the trailer for Taxi Journey below, and if you like what you see you can back the game on its Kickstarter page here.
