In what should prove to be a glorious treat on this lovely Friday, The Walking Dead: 400 Days is now available to download from the Xbox Live Marketplace.

A new episode designed to bridge the gap between the conclusion of season one and the start of season two, 400 Days tells five linked stories each featuring a different character, all revolving around a single truck stop on a Georgia highway.

Some of the choices you made during the course of season one will have 'echoes' in 400 Days too, and no doubt there'll be more taxing decisions to address in this new DLC episode. The Walking Dead: 400 Days is out now and can be downloaded for 400 Microsoft Points.

[Thanks, Leon]

  • Fuck ultimate game sales. Give me this!
  • I just completed 400 Days story and it is brilliant. Great humours, characters and story tells. I cannot wait to find out more story in future for this Telltale's wonderful story Franchise.
  • Won't be getting this till it's on sale. Just kidding. Now to go add 500MSP to my account... and buy Perfect Dark Zero. :D
  • Downloaded this morning and will play when I get home from work.
  • Phenomenal.
  • OK Microsoft, I'll buy another XBL point card *tries to insert a $20 into the dvd drive*
  • @4: I'm in the same boat. Will give it a whirl as soon as I get home from work. Can't wait!
  • Just completed this and its awesome, i recorded it for my youtube channel, if you want to see go to my channel... SwaggyGrant
  • @8 Spam Alert OT will get this asap
  • I downloaded it this morning, but I'm going out of town this weekend so I can't play it till I get back. Here is the same video, posted 3 days before this story, in full screen 720hd no watermark, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R47-A5_taro
  • I finished it a few hours ago. I thought it would be a cash in, it turns out telltale is still goin' strong!
  • Sweet! Gonna download when i get home from work.
  • This was a Brilliant add on!! Loved every moment of it, Shame it was really short though! :(
  • There are some really tough decisions, folks. I didn't have much trouble with that blindfolded guy, it's just like randall in the tv show. There's no other way
  • Downloaded it, took my time on it, Beat it. Loved it. About to go Replay it.
  • I can't wait to get home!
  • Already bought it, but it's behind XCOM in my download list so I won't have it for a while. Can't wait to play it, though.
  • Just downloading now.. And have to wait for my gf to get home and play it. She loves watching this story.
  • #17: I'd go to the Download Queue and move TWD to number one the Download Queue. Mainly since it's a few megabits versus 7.xGB. Play it while XCOM downloads.
  • Just finished it! A great start, it was more of an intro to Season Two than a bridge from Season 1 to 2. Still found it amazing and again Telltale did NOT disappoint. Highly recommend!
  • All the stories are short, but its totally amazing, and got the 600g no problem 2 hours ago. Might just start a new save file again, and run all the way through it, its just that good. Shame Survival Instinct didn't live up to the hype as well. Can't wait for more.
  • I didn't notice any of my decisions from season one effecting this one though. Anybody catch something I may have missed?
  • @22 *Spoiler* In the beginning of Russel's story, if you choose to hide, there is a dead character referenced from season one. It's also how you get the "Reunited" achievement.
  • I bought the orange box and now only have 20msp :( Might have to sort that out in the morning. Been looking forward to this for ages but the orange box was too good to pass up based on what I've heard
  • Apparently its good...not getting til disc comes out though...obsessive about having discs...
  • @25 I seriously doubt you're ever going to see this episode on a disc.
  • Just finished the episode and it was awesome! A great lead in for Season 2 and I can't wait to play more.
  • DLC was great but very short. Finished it in an hour. Story is good but it not worth $5/400msp. I recommend waiting until it goes on sale for $2.50/200msp.
  • @26 Agreed. Unless Telltale releases a Walking Dead anthology set, I can't see this coming as a physical add-on content pack in the vein of Bethesda's DLC for an Arcade game that was fortunate enough to also ship in hard copy. Yes Season 1 was just that good, but shipping a disc 60-minutes long just doesn't seem viable...
  • wil this have a season pass like season 1 did ?
  • @26.....The START of season two....I meant when the rest of it comes out as well not just this one little part...honestly....
  • ^Actually misread the bridge part....So I is the idiot here sorry 26 ^.^ Sigh seems I wont be getting it at all after all..oh well I will survive..
  • Loada crap.
  • @22 *SPOILERS* If you choose to threaten Vernon and Brie when you find the fallout shelter in Chapter 4, then in Shel's story, Clive will note this being the reason Vernon and Brie were lost from the group.
  • most amazing game series, cant wait to see how this ties into the walking dead 2 ... 400 days was awesome sauce played it twice already to see the responses to different paths I chose ... im a big choose your own adventure book fan, remember those?
  • Am I the only one who found this episode a little...underwhelming? First of all, you couldn't invest in the characters bc you simply don't know them, you don't know of their background, or of the relationships within the group, you simply don't spend enough time with them. Then the game introduces people and right of the bat asks for decisions. A lot of times I was thinking "how the hell would I know?"...something that NEVER happenend in Season 1.
  • I just finished ep5. Bout to download 400 days. Love this game but i bought it before the first ep went free. About to have spent 30 bones for 600 g and an amazing gaming exp.
  • games are ok but theres absolutely no challenge to them and very little gameplay
  • @36 That was sorta the point of the DLC. To give you different situations and have to quickly judge your feelings about a certain character, just like it would be in the real world if you were to meet a new survivor of the zombie apocalypse. While, granted, the stories could've been a smidge longer, I thought most of them were well thought out and fun too.
  • I loved this series, can't wait till Season 2. It's amazing how they can make you care what happens to the new characters in such a short amount of time.
  • @39: Ok, but in the real world you know who you are (and in Season 1 of THW you knew who Lee was, because the game let you spend time with him) --SPOILERS:-- I'll give you an example: After you have completed all characters in 400 Days you suddenly play as this black lady who is looking for survivors. You have no idea who she is, where she comes from and so on. You find the five guys and have to convince them to come with you. Great. How do you know that the Lady is not part of a group of Cannibals, or that her group of survivors isn't like Crawford?? So you try to do what the game tells you to do (convince them to come with you), but you don't invest emotions into the whole process, simply bc most of the time you have no idea of these people' stories and backgrounds. ---Spoilers End--- I really loved Season 1, and yeah maybe 400 Days is just a bridge for season 2, but I really hope in Season 2 they let you play 1 character only, and show you their earlier life as well. All in all I would rate 400 Days 2/5, simply bc it felt underwhelming. It was definitely the worst episode of THW coming from TT yet.
  • Can't wait for Season 2
  • @42 same here cant wait..
  • Season 2 better be awesome because this season was awesome
  • This was really disappointing, so short Vincents part the most pointless, if it was expanded on. could have been amazing.
