Call of Duty: Ghosts To Get Co-Op That May or May Not be Spec Ops

Call of Duty: Ghosts will have a co-operative game mode, but Infinity Ward isn't currently prepared to discuss it, and there's also a chance that it might not be Spec Ops.
With Infinity Ward keen to effectively "start with a clean slate," as Activision's VP of Production Daniel Suarez told us at E3 (full interview here), it would make quite a bit of sense to assume that IW might drop Spec Ops in favour of a new co-op mode.
In response to someone asking about Spec Ops for CoD: Ghosts on Twitter, Infinity Ward's Community Co-Ordinator Candice Capen responded, tweeting: "@doyneamite @markderidder we'll have a cooperative mode of sort, but we're not announcing it yet and I've no clue when/if we will".
Is Call of Duty: Ghosts co-op mode Spec Ops or not then? it seems that not even Infinity Ward is all that sure yet, which is admittedly all that helpful. Still, a potentially new co-op mode for Call of Duty: Ghosts... That's news, right? Oh, and apparently the first details on multiplayer are supposed to be coming next month.
Call of Duty: Ghosts is out in November. Give our E3 preview a read here.
