Yet another hack has struck following Ubisoft's site being breached recently. This time Konami is the target, with over 35,000 unauthorised logins from almost four million attempts hitting the Konami ID portal.
The Konami ID portal is used by Pro Evolution Soccer players and has IDs, passwords and other information that have been leaked from an unnamed third party. Names, addresses, dates of birth, phone numbers and email addresses were accessed via the breach, with a strong possibility that they were taken.
Konami has advised that Konami ID users change their password via the following link. Anyone affected should have received an email with instructions on what to do. In light of the hack, Konami has bolstered its security and raised its monitoring level, as well as ensuring that IDs and passwords used for to gain unauthorised access are rendered null and void.
