Joining the 68 million trailers for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag are a set of new screenshots straight outta Comic-Con. These latest images present you with a look at the game's new pirate assassin Edward 'grandpappy of Connor' Kenway engaging in all sorts of exciting pirate activities.

These include searching corpses for treasure maps, harpooning sharks in the face, swimming with sharks (ill-advised), sword fighting with a pair of cutlasses, having a drink while discussing Animus cube thingys, sailing and (probably) shouting "land ho" with a telescope.

You can get all seven new screenshots into your eyes by scrolling down the page a bit. They're all there and they're all pirates, assassins, sharks, sea, sails, swords and stuff. Enjoy. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is out on October 29th in North America and November 1st in Europe. Timbers shivered.

Sharks look scary as hell.
I still need to beat all the other Assassins Creed games, and I don't know if I will be able to do that by November. It sucks, because this one definitely seems like it has the most interesting and mysterious time period. But I won't play it until I beat the other games.

Whoa. Those are some nice looking sharks. Gonna have to get this for my son but i personally am not excited about this. It's a great series but i think it should just stop already. Enough is enough.

@3 lets say you wrote a book that millions around the world love and made millions off that. You make sequels to that book every year. Four years later you're a multimillionaire. Would you stop?

It makes Ubisoft money so why they stop? This 'milk the cash cow' is bullshit. These are companies looking to make money. Not every little fan happy. Don't like it. Don't play it. Simple as that.

I for one can't wait for this on the Xbox One.

Looks cool, but come on! Where the hell is the desmond game already? Not being made because of whiny fans perhaps? ever Ac article I've seen has at least one person bitch about desmond and the desmond sections. He IS the story, the main assasin character's stories are (at least in 1+2 which is as far as I've gotten) boring! Just because there are a lot of lame desmond sections gameplay wise does NOT mean a desmond game would be anything less than awesome.

It also makes me wonder how the hell they keep his story going for 6 games now? The should have had a desmond one after revelations or 4, tied off his story arch, and keep going with a different modern day assassin and different ancestors, continuing the same main modern day story arch.

On the other hand, since I'm playing through 2 now I do enjoy the though of being able to navigate roof tops and treetop without annoying ass archers yelling at and attacking me when I'm just trying to get across the city.

Got Assassins Creed III on release and still haven't finished it. I find it boring. So I might wait till this goes down in price. Might.

Ehh, I'm not terribly excited for it. AC2 was the last AC game that I really loved, and I found it to be a tasking chore getting through ACIII. I'll pass on this.

Should probably be Tiger Sharks rather than Great Whites, given the tropical setting.

I'm still confused. So we all know what happens at the end of AC3, and then there is the whole stupid cloud thing. Just wondering, what is the point of this game, given what ultimately happens at the end of 3? To me this is just filler for the hell of it. Kind of like Brotherhood and Revelations although this game isn't going to advance the ultimate story line (which is why I believe Desmond should have had his own dedicated game), thoughts?

i agree with #4. Think if there was only one star wars movie, one star trek movie, or even one harry potter. People will keep coming back to a good thing and making more of that good thing would not be "milking it"

@6 I don't want to spoil it for you, but they ended Desmond's story in AC3. In this game you play as yourself. You're an abstergo agent who relieves Desmond's ancestry.

Finally my dreams have been coming true. All I ever wanted in videogames was more animals, especially Aquatic animals and now every game seems to be adding them. Who said water levels in games were just dull and stupid, muahahaha not anymore. Not when a shark comes up to you and bites your fricking face off.

screens look beautiful! I'm assuming these are shot from the 360 version? Not sure if i'm getting this game at launch because of the descending path this franchise is headed but these screens give me an optimistic outlook for some pretty gameplay

Despite this game shaping up to be the best AC in the series, I still feel at launch a lot of the new console's potential will be wasted due to the gaming companies not being able to utilize all the resources given to them since the technology will be so new to them. A couple of the screenshots just look a bit too shoddy to be next gen material. Regardless, still super stoked.

Meh still not all that interested in this game beyond lookin at next gen graphics. They've Tony Hawked this series into the ground. New game pretty much each year with little to no innovation from one game to the next. No thanks.

I didn't mind the animals in AC3. In fact, I loved that they were there.
A great addition to the game and the frontier.
But sharks and underwater stuff just scares the crap out of me.
Even being in (some) games with no underwater threat, I'd still haul ass to land. lol
This will be a fun game, no doubt. Just a phobia of mine kicking in.
With that set aside, I honestly can't wait to play it.

I think I'm going to wait and get this for the XB1. It'll hopefully give Ubisoft time to patch some of the horrible bugs this will inevitably launch with haha looks like a lot of fun though.

@4 exactly...and it's not like they're rehashing the same game over each year...each game has it's own unique feel to it and feels like a quality game (although 2 and Brotherhood do feel like the same game, however they're still both quality titles) long as they can keep that up...they could make a new game each month and I wouldn't care (although my wallet probably would haha)
