I would rather forget about Alien 3.Wednesday, July 24, 2013 @ 04:56 AM
Pants party said it's 1200 not 800 pointsWednesday, July 24, 2013 @ 05:02 AM
@6 its 800. If you took the effort to click the wee link a the bottom of the page you would have been able to answer your own doubt.Wednesday, July 24, 2013 @ 05:39 AM
Alien 3 was made purely for cinema, Hicks and newt have their own story in the comics after the events of Aliens. Just in case anyone wondered why they were aliveWednesday, July 24, 2013 @ 05:55 AM
@12 I'm one of the downvoters. I'm not defending the game I just down vote any of your comments I see.Wednesday, July 24, 2013 @ 05:58 AM
I 100%'d this within the first couple of weeks. I keep seeing update after update being announced. Finished the dlc yesterday and its still just as broken. Saying that tho I still enjoyed it with some friends and tbh I have played much much worse.Wednesday, July 24, 2013 @ 06:17 AM
@16, With that kind of reply, I can see why people downvote you. OT: I still wouldn't mind picking this game up cheap but from what I hear there are still issues that need fixing.Wednesday, July 24, 2013 @ 06:18 AM
Alien3 was a mediocre but not bad theatrical film, the version you can watch on the Alien Anthology Blu-ray collection [or read in the Alan Dean Foster novelisation] is much better and personally better than Alien. Personal list: Aliens [directors cut] Alien 3 [bluray alternative version] Alien 4 [stupid but still enjoyable overall] Alien [just never found it to be very good.]Wednesday, July 24, 2013 @ 06:25 AM
@10 DJWonderbraDJ where is your rap lyrics? did you move to horse breeding business now?Wednesday, July 24, 2013 @ 06:36 AM
@16 after reading your response I had a look at his wall and couldn't help but laugh that you think stupider is a word and that constitutes as "owning him " seriously stop commenting @19. Rapping is frowned upon. Iv gone into landscape gardening , let me know of your gean requires some crazy paving, in your man.Wednesday, July 24, 2013 @ 06:58 AM
My favorite Alien movies are in this order... Alien3 Aliens Alien ... ... ... .. .. Alien: Resurrection It was odd. I never really watched the Aliens movies until the bluray anthology and the movies got steadily better all the way up through 3. 3 was odd yes, but I liked it best. I had really high hopes going into Resurrection but jeeze what a turd that movie was.Wednesday, July 24, 2013 @ 06:59 AM
Why did I get a negative vote? It's the truthWednesday, July 24, 2013 @ 07:36 AM
@12...I'll happily defend this title because compared to other games...This game is no different...AC3 had more bugs and glitches than A:CM (over 160 bugs fixed in the first 2 patches...40 being game breaking)...Also...Nobody should complain about graphics when CoD used the same engine for 5 years...I'm not saying it's perfect but it's not as bad when put in perspective to other mainstream titles which are just as bad or worse...Wednesday, July 24, 2013 @ 09:05 AM
you two had better stop, or i'll turn this car around!Wednesday, July 24, 2013 @ 09:38 AM
@43 2013 is the year of 4g, "yeah" golf = 90% walking , what percentage of that is rolling on forums? I feel sorry for your golf mates. Not telling me your handicap? Ok.Wednesday, July 24, 2013 @ 09:48 AM
A bit like trolling, you're shit at that as well. Conversations over, I have a rock formation for UBN to completion by half 4 and quite frankly you bore me. Iv noticed you have deleted your hard man comments off your wall as well. Lucky for you i took a screen shot. So if i see you trolling people again , expect it to make an appearance. Keep on "owning"Wednesday, July 24, 2013 @ 10:07 AM
@47 the kind of "weirdo" that sees you constantly cry victim when you're called out. "stop taking it so seriously" - This from someone who has put a huge rant on his wall warding off people that you will "own them" only later taking it down. Keep up the good work. Ill take whatever I like seriously. You worry about yourself not me.Wednesday, July 24, 2013 @ 10:09 AM

They don't need DLC to tell what happened to Hicks during stasis: He was tossing and turning, hoping the story would have brought them back to earth, so Weyland Corp. could take what they found in the ship to a remote research island and have all hell break loose on it... not crash onto a prison planet - and the downslide of the franchise (and the death of ALL the main characters)! I mean... what was the point of saving Newt, and escaping the massive explosion... only to kill most of the surviving characters at the beginning of the sequel, and then kill the star at the end of it?Wednesday, July 24, 2013 @ 07:47 PM
What the hell happened in this comments section!? Ah the Internet, good for mindless fun!Thursday, July 25, 2013 @ 02:16 AM
This comment section looks like a warfield, seems half of all the postings are missing. What happened here, did I miss something?Thursday, July 25, 2013 @ 02:29 AM
@57 Ok, but it's not like she was talked into it, S. Weaver herself wanted to kill the character off, she basically had enough of Ripley (at that time, years later though they paid her enough that she agreed to make 4). And I actually do understand why they killed Newt and Hicks off in the beginning of 3, the child playing Newt in Aliens was grown up by the time they made 3, and Hicks, well the film certainly wouldn't be very interesting if Ripley had a Marine-sidekick and/or child by her side all the time (a child on a prison planet full of frustrated and lonely men? Bad script idea). What we got was certainly uneven, but considered the problems Fincher had with the studio while making the film, it could have been much worse!Thursday, July 25, 2013 @ 06:29 AM
RIP in peace welshdragon888Thursday, July 25, 2013 @ 09:51 AM
@57 the point is simple. It's a theme of futility and self sacrifice. It's meant to show that the good guy cannot always win and even if they do sometimes it comes at the cost of self sacrifice and that anything good can be rendered meaningless afterwards.

The Stasis Interrupted DLC for Aliens: Colonial Marines, which is out now, details the adventures of Corporal Hicks between Aliens and Aliens 3.
It’s an interesting narrative direction, as Hicks turns up in the main campaign despite seemingly dying in the movies. This DLC will reveal all.
That’s according to the Xbox.com Marketplace listing for the content, which says, 'Stasis Interrupted' is the final piece of Aliens: Colonial Marines DLC telling the story of what happened to Hicks between Aliens and Alien³.
“In this new campaign you play as 3 different characters through an interlocking story.”
“Waking up unexpectedly from hypersleep, Lisbeth and others must figure out why the spaceship they are on, the Legato, has been diverted to intercept the Sulaco leaving LV-426's orbit.”
“Fight your way through the alien infested spaceship, find out what Michael Weyland is after and discover what truly happened to Hicks.”
Out now and free to Season Pass holders, Stasis Interrupted costs 800 MSP to everyone else. You can queue it for download here.
