XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Listings Appear for XCOM: Enemy Within

A listing has popped up for something called XCOM: Enemy Within.

Listed on the South Korean classification board website for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, the game is... well, we don’t actually know. 2K has not announced, nor teased, anything of the sort.

It could, conceivably, be some kind of expansion for Firaxis’ turn-based strategy title XCOM: Enemy Unknown, or it could be a full blown sequel, maybe.

But the latter would be odd considering that the game is listed for current-gen systems. What's more it's unlikely that it refers to The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, as that game has a completely different name so...

We have no answers, only questions.

I'm guessing this is an expansion, considering the similar title and that there's no way Firaxis would have a new game out so soon.

Some substantial expansion would be really nice, the DLC they release was way too short to even get me back in the game, but something longer would be very welcome=)

Please be a large expansion, and not some bullshit iPhone/tablet nonsense. I need to get back into this game. Still haven't beaten Ironman/Impossible, but someday it will happen. Possibly...

Hopefully is an expansion. I wouldn't mind returning back to that game.

Didn't Firaxis mention having 2 DLC expansions and they only done one so far with the Asian guy, Sureshot or something? I remember reading something where they explicitly mentioned 2 DLCs, much like Bioshock:Infinite and Dishonored laid there cards on the table with the '3 DLCs; 1 of challenges, 2 of story' deals.

Rich Walker on Nov 1st:
"...with two packs revealed thus far. There's the previously pre-order only Elite Soldier Pack to be made available to all and the Slingshot Content Pack coming up."

Rich Walker on Nov 30th:
"XCOM: Enemy Unknown is set to enjoy its first of two planned add-on packs next week, with the Slingshot DLC, which adds..."

Guess Slingshot was the only major DLC and either the 'Elite Soldier Pack' or that free DLC update that gave you a bunch of additional twists to choose from was the other DLC.

OR, it could just be that the game has a different title in South Korea.

An expantion or sequel would be great, doubt it's a GOTY type thing that would be pointless, both the game and it's DLC are well priced at the moment.
But please get good voice actors this time that's litterly my only problem with XCOM:Enemy Unknown one of my top 5 games in recent years.

I suspect its an expansion, Dr. Vahlen's lunch bagel included a miniaturised team of aliens and you have to shrink a skyranger and fly a team down her throat to hunt them down

They teased something XCOM at PAX, they showed a brief, interrupted message from the voice that always accompanied Council missions and the monthly ratings in Enemy Unknown. Here's a link if anyone's interested. He definitely says there's another force working against us, and its pretty clearly related to Enemy Unknown and not the Bureau.

They did state way back in January that they were working on DLC for Enemy Unknown that would take time until it's released. This is likely it.
