Grand Theft Auto V has gained an R18+ in Australia on the first try, despite concerns that the notoriously strict ratings outfit would refuse the game.

The Australian Classification Board listing warns against the game's 'high impact' drug use and highlights 'strong impact' themes, violence, language, nudity and sex.

Saints Row IV has recently been denied classification by in Australia thanks to the use of drugs as incentives and rewards. We’re presuming ilicit substances are dealt with in a different way in GTA  V.

GTA IV only saw a release in Australia once Rockstar had removed content, enabling the game to receive an MA15+ rating.
