Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
Konami: What Do You Want From a Metal Gear Rising Sequel?

Konami is conducting some research regarding a potential Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance sequel, with a survey available for fans to complete in order to provide some feedback on what they'd like to see from a follow-up to Raiden's bloody hack-happy adventure.

You can take part in the survey here, which Konami reckons should take around 20 minutes to complete. It asks questions about whether you'd want more stealth, more human drama, more Metal Gear Solid-style elements, more sci-fi, or other gameplay elements besides fighting.

It also wants to know if you want the game to be longer or if you'd prefer to hack humans into meaty chunks rather than cyborgs. It also asks if you'd like to cut more things up, whether you want more romance, humour, mystery or military stuff in the story, and also if you'd like online multiplayer.

The survey concludes by asking "If the sequel to Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance were available, do you think you would buy the game?" and "If the sequel to Metal Gear Rising were available, what would you expect from the game?"

We were rather fond of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, so the prospect of a sequel is most definitely welcome.

I loved the game but it needed to be longer and have more moves for the unique secondary weapons.

The major point they need to address is length before they consider making another full priced sequel. They have a good base to build on but they need to take time and develop a much larger game, especially when it will probably be a next-gen title and we could possibly be paying more for it. All of the elements mentioned in the post could be implemented in some way to make it a bigger game, even if some of it becomes padding.

I only played the demo and didn't buy it based on that, it seemed really hard and I had no idea how to beat the boss, it killed me about 5 times then I gave up. I guess I was expecting a Metal Gear game, which this obviously wasn't, honestly it just seemed like another generic hack and slash which there are enough of. Don't think a sequel is needed nor do I think any amount of changes will help it to sell well.

I'd want more like the original idea of the game, where you stealth just as much as you ninja and it's possible to finish the game without killing anyone.

Not sure about changes on the new one (although I would welcome a sequel ) , but the first one should not have had that annoying gormless twat sunny in it... Just awful!
Instead Raiden should have assaulted a missile launch facility, set off the countdown & just rode an ICBM around the world to Pakistan, holding on with his claws.

It could have been a touch longer as well.

I don't want a sequel - please focus on the MGS we know & love.

MGS is possibly my favourite game series, but these spin-offs are on no interest to me. Found it hugely disappointing.

I loved Revengence and did not see much wrong with it, took me about 6 hours to beat it the first play through, 3 and half every play through after that. Only thing i would have probably liked more of was stealth, because i was picking up cardboard boxes and oil drums only to not have a need to really use them, rather make my enemies headless instead of keeping them alive.

Wow, I was going to comment on the length of the game but it looks like everyone took care of that for me! The DLC looked really good, but when it takes me 4 hours to complete a full retail game I'm less than enthused to go out and purchase more paid content. Include it all in the game! Stop cutting portions out and charging us for it. I think the general consensus is that most people really enjoyed this game we just need more going on. The bosses were really cool except they seemed to die just as quickly as they were introduced. How many games have a US senator as an end boss? Epic as fuck.

I'd like them to make a survey for the next silent hill too. Get on it Konami. And patch the HD collection.

I honestly would like to see a prequel Metal Gear Solid with Gray Fox or something, that would be sweet and it ties in with Metal Gear Solid and ends with him Sacrificing himself against Metal Gear.

Make it longer.
Quick way to switch through weapons like the MGS games.
Make the VR missions fair.
Environments with a bit more color
Return some of the cut moves such as running on walls.
A coop mode along the lines of what ninja gaiden 2 sigma did.

Apparently we need the game to play itself, because timing a block button is too tough?
I'm not great at action games, but if I can beat the final boss on Hard without
A. Knowing you can interrupt his healing move.
B. Having any healing items
C. Finding out halfway through the fight that you can cut in blade mode with the press of a button
you can figure out how to play this game.

About C. I would enter blade mode and swing the stick in the direction I want to cut. It actually works, but it is not very precise.

Less Raiden. More Grey Fox.

Playing as Frank Jaeger, parallel to Snake in MGS would be fucking wonderful.
