With CD Projekt RED stepping things up with both The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077 for next-gen platforms, the Polish studio has today announced that it's opened a new studio in Cracow to help "bolster the development" on its two big projects.
"A new studio, new people and new energy - we’re growing and we’re extremely excited that we can tap into the potential that Cracow has to offer," said CD Projekt boss Adam Badowski. "We want to continue to make better and better RPGs and the new studio is another big step in that direction. Cracow, one of the cultural and scientific centers of Europe, is a really special place that will leave a significant mark on our games."
Developers growing and opening new studios is always a good thing, and with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077 promising to be next-gen big hitters, CD Projekt RED's new Cracow studio bodes well for both games. Hooray.
