Namco Bandai has announced that Soul Calibur II HD Online, the remake of what is arguably the best in the series will be bringing two out of the three bonus characters that were offered as platform exclusives. Obviously Link won't be in the game due to licensing with Nintendo.
Not only will Heihachi be returning from the PS2 version of the game, but Todd McFarlane's dark comic book antihero Spawn from the Xbox version will also be part of the character roster. For the first time, you'll be able to pit Heihachi against Spawn.
Developer Project Soul will be bringing Soul Calibur II HD Online to the Xbox Live Arcade with updated visuals and online multiplayer with new modes in autumn 2013 in time for the game's tenth anniversary. Check out some Spawn versus Heihachi screens below. You'll find a dozen in the gallery.
