Despite only offering the ability to login six players at any one time, Xbox One will still apparently support up to eight controllers synced up to the console at once, Microsoft has confirmed. That's twice as many as Xbox 360 allowed.
Boasting a 30-foot wireless range, the Xbox One controller also boasts "seamless profile and controller pairing," thanks to "infrared LEDs in the controller [that] can be sensed by the Kinect sensor," according to the controller blurb on Xbox.com.
Eight player local multiplayer sessions? Apparently so, although it looks like two players will have to login as guests, while six users can log in to Xbox Live properly with their accounts. Neato.
