Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD Hinted at in Leaked Ubisoft Image

A leaked image for Ubisoft's autumn Digital Days event suggests that PS Vita exclusive Assassin's Creed III: Liberation could be heading to home consoles as Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD, dropping the 'III' to possibly avoid confusion with AC IV.

It seems that a release for the game on the Xbox Live Arcade could be on the cards, while other games on the slate include Assassin's Creed: Pirates, which could possibly be the name of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag's tie-in mobile app.

You can view the leaked image below, which appeared on Chinese forum A9VG and was subsequently spied by NeoGAF. Other titles listed in the image include Trials Frontier and Rayman: Fiesta Run for mobile devices, something called Poptropica: Forgotten Islands, Valiant Hearts: The Great War, Rabbids: Big Bang, Duel of Champions, Endwar Online and some Just Dance thingy called 'AutoDance'.

JRPG-inspired Child of Light is also pictured, and is described as a "playable painting" directed by Far Cry 3's Patrick Plourde. We'll hopefully find more out about these games, in due course.

I always wanted that game (but obviously I'm not gonna buy a fucking Vita) so if this happens, I'll be happy.

@1 Why do people automatically cry out that a franchise is "milking the customers"? You haven't even played the game yet to judge anything about it.

@6 Ofcourse I can't judge how good the game is, that's not even the point. Also see #7 why it is milking.

@7 and how many call of duties have there been? dozens so calling this franchise milking is an insult.

Besides i wish they would continue to release 1 game a year for all eternity. So they can milk all they want.

Nice to see Sony is running out of money and can't keep paying Ubisoft for exclusive rights. Looks like there's hope for the "exclusive" PS3 story in AC4 being released on other consoles in time.

@9 I never mentioned anything about COD... and of course that was bound to come up in the "Milking" category... Good job!

And of course you're bound to be the stupid one that is paying for the Cow to be milked to death so have fun with that!

@10 I wouldn't bank on it, that and the Watchdogs exclusive DLC will end up staying exclusive. Most if not all console exclusive DLC never manages to jump ship.

I wouldn't call this "Running out of money" Liberation was released on a handheld console, so exclusive rights? There are none, no way this could have ran on a 3DS anyway. I doubt Sony even paid much at all for Liberation, no one in the handheld market is running against them in terms of hardware power.

Releasing games with stories that are different and new game play elements is hardly milking anything. If people are willing to pay for it, they are going to continue making games in that series. It isn't a hard concept. If that's milking something, then car manufacturers are guilty of milking people by releasing the same models year in and year out.

If you dont like a franchise, then simply don't buy it and vote with your wallets, but franchises with yearly iterations are the biggest money makers for developers and taking risks on new IPs in this day and age is very risky and highly expensive.

Not excited after then unadulterated bleh that was the Resident Evil: Revelations port. It'll take more than upscaling.

@1: "Milking" would be subsequently releasing 'Assassin's Creed Party' and following that up with Assassin's Creed V tie-in 'Assassin's Creed: Farm'.

Really, iterating on a franchise is not "milking".

Love how I hurt a AC fan's feelings by saying that AC Liberation wasn't that good...

They are milking it on now though lets be honest.

I also wanted to note that I hope they fix the bugs in the game. I can make the game crash every time just by doing the ship trading mini game. One of my wagon's got attacked and I can no longer save it or buy a new one. I also hated the pirates in the ship trading game. They would steal my cargo every single time. Making it really hard to earn money in the game. I hope they add a way to defend against them.

Its hardly milking. Its a franchise, that means they produce more than one of the same thing! But nevermind. Hopefully this is true, love the AC series and would like to play the ones we missed out on

Does it ever occur to some people that the profits from the AC franchise help fund the likes of Watch Dogs and The Division?
