Rockstar has advised GTA fans on Xbox 360 not to install the game’s “Play” disc to the HDD, but a no-disc solution has been found.
Installing GTA V's "Play" disc leads to performance problems including noticeable texture issues, but according to Digital Foundry, players should carry out the mandatory install and then install the “Play” disk to a USB flash drive instead.
This allows users to enjoy GTA V without having to rely on a disc, not only improving performance but also cutting down on the noise suffered by noisy older Xbox 360 models. Handy.
GTA V is out now. In our review Rich called it “maybe the most underwhelming release since Duke Nukem Forever.”
