looks interesting but i feel this may be another one of those games that should not move into the multiplayer world
this franchise has been a phenomenal single player franchise and i hope the addition of mp doesn't ruin that

Looks ok, I think the only reason they put multiplayer in to single player orientated games is to give people an incentive to carry on playing. Most people do the story or get all the achievements and then put it down, but multiplayer gives them the option to carry on playing without repeating the same levels/missions over and over.
Either way, like it? Play it. Don't like it? Dont play it.

So i'm going to assume that all the DLC for this game will be challenge rooms and multiplayer maps/characters?

Looks like you could only have a chance in this mode when you use "Sonar/X-Ray-Vision" all the time...
ALso this looks like the challenge mode on super super hard (because of the human players).
Not sure I will like this

That just looked excruciatingly slow to me. I was a fan of the challenge maps and finished all of the previous games challenges, this just looked way too slow though. I'll probably give it a go if I get this game, but well see how it unfolds.

I don't know either. When I heard about it, it sounded awesome. Now I saw it and it looks less awesome. It's OK, but since it's there either way, I will defo give it at least few hours to try.

I tried the MP in Tomb Raider and really didn't like it that much. It played really slow and this seems to play just as slow, but I'll give it a try anyway. Who knows, it might turn out to be good.

I just hope there aren't any mp achievements, but since chances are there will be, I hope they are easy, such as play on each team or kill a hero. Nothing like "get a five kill streak" or "survive an entire game and get x amount of kills in the same game" bull crap. Ill play this definately, but I have more fun just playing instead of getting upset about getting a really hard achievo

Look like batman succumbed to a "cookie cutter" multiplayer.
seriously rockysteady didn't need a MP in their game.

Deleted this recently, can't say it's bad though! Some of the best Multiplayer experiences will be had with Batman & Robin ;)
Besides, with the 'Big Goon' characters like The Joker and Bane in the battlefield, it reminded me of Star Wars: Battlefront.

as yet another game goes the way of ubisofts assassins creed first two are amazing then they tack on some shite mp and barely focus on campaign.
Hopefully rocksteady though will be smart enough to realize people want SP in their SP games and focus heavily on that as if the campaign remains good then the game will be a success

Holy whining, Batman!
Don't slam it if you're uninformed.
The single player was done solely by itself, and they hired another group (SplashDamage) to do the multiplayer for them so that they wouldn't be distracted by it when making a great single player experience.
I've played the sp and mp beta - and they were fabulous.
Just a little breakdown on the multiplayer...
You can never 'choose' to be Batman or Robin - for now you start as a player on Bane's gang or Joker's gang. At the end of the round, you can opt-in to be chosen to be a HERO, or you can opt-out to stay as one of the gang members.
During gameplay, you're capturing control points and taking out the other team. Some random time in the match, a doorway comes available for you to "let your boss play". Whichever team gets there first (and doesn't get blown away while knocking on the door) claims their boss.
If you're the first person to the door, depending on which team you're on, your boss will open the door and throw you into the cell. Then you get to play as the boss.
Yes, they're stronger, but they don't heal like you normally do as a gang member. Once the "boss" has been killed, that's it for bosses for the round.
Batman and Robin sneak around 'intimidating' everyone. AKA, knocking bad guys out (which, incidentally, doesn't take away from your respawn numbers). The more they vary their takedowns, the more their intimidation meter fills. If they get killed by a gang member, their meter drops. It's actually quite difficult to win as Batman and Robin, because the gangs usually kill each other off before the intimidation meter is filled.
Also....if one gang is down to their last member (no respawns left) but manage to kill a hero, the rest of their team gets a free respawn, which is nice.
I could go on... but I've already rambled (sorry). Personally, I'm looking forward to playing this on the console. It's probably going to take over my Assassin's Creed multiplayer addiction.

As long as they don't bombard the achievements with mp stuff then it's ok. I'm okay with some mp achievements but please no luck based ones. Don't you darepull a Tomb Raider on me WB :P!

There are lots of mp cheevos, but only one that looks somewhat tough.
As a Hero (Batman or Robin) you have to take out 4 bad guys in 40 seconds without using melee.
I sense most people doing this via a private match.
