Look forward new IP The Division and next Rainbow Six title in working title as well Ghost Recon Online for Wii U to be release once it is ready after PC version had full complete developed. Also Ubisoft said Splinter Cell will returns again. Big hugs to Tom's families. XoxoxoxoxoxOWednesday, October 02, 2013 @ 12:55 PM

Will we ever see a new Rainbow Six :(Wednesday, October 02, 2013 @ 01:00 PM
RIP Tom Clancy. Played a lot of games with him name on over the years and gotta say there were great. 66 is a young age in these times.Wednesday, October 02, 2013 @ 01:03 PM
#22 Lol yes of course Ubisoft developer studios still working on new Rainbow Six called Rainbow Six: Patriots but might different label title for Rainbow Six which mean Patriots is no more so possible change label name with it. So Ubisoft said already new Rainbow Six is in working title and when game is full ready then Ubisoft will let us know when release date. Seem like 2015 is right time for new Rainbow Six game. Don't worry. Ubisoft still keep Tom Clancy's franchises for longer time and like Codemasters they did to keep DiRT series but label Colin McRae is over name for label then DiRT new label after Colin is died. So it is same example. I am sure Ubisoft keep Tom Clancy label with franchises or this name label remove then The Division possible first game that release with Tom Clancy label. :)Wednesday, October 02, 2013 @ 01:07 PM
#22 "I am sure Ubisoft keep Tom Clancy label with franchises or this name label remove then The Division possible first game that release without Tom Clancy label". Sorry my mistake I mean without label not with. :)Wednesday, October 02, 2013 @ 01:16 PM

Sad news may he R.I.P on the lighter side of things, maybe we'll get a Tom Clancy sale now?Wednesday, October 02, 2013 @ 01:24 PM
Tom Clancy was a truely unique individual who can never be replaced. His contributions to literature, film and gaming have changed the way that the international public views military fiction. May his legacy live on so that generations to come may experience the level of excellence we have all come to know from his works.Wednesday, October 02, 2013 @ 01:31 PM
I was both surprised and saddened about this. He was one of my favorite authors, my dad even reads his books. It's sad to see a legend go. His legacy will live on. I will definitely miss his work, I have many of his works including Rainbow Six, Patriot Games and The Hunt for Red October. All of them are great books, and obviously before Ubisoft bought Red Storm he gave us Ghost Recon and a game adaption to Rainbow Six.Wednesday, October 02, 2013 @ 02:15 PM
@4 "What a terrible loss. My heart goes out to Ubisoft and his family". Fixed: "What a terrible loss. My heart goes out to his family". I doubt Ubisoft cared to him more than his family would've. It is sad though to lose such an icon and legend such as him. One more beautiful light has been extinguished. :(Wednesday, October 02, 2013 @ 02:25 PM

R.I.P I'm no author or much of a reader, but as a true gamer (and a relatively old one) I respected Tom Clancy a great deal. His games really pushed the boundries (especially early on) of what a 'game' could be. When other titles were still using giant pig aliens and looney stories, the tom clancy games managed to give the industry a respectfull image that in my opinion it hadn't had before. Realistic gameplay, cutting edge graphics and of course the brilliant stories which Clancy wrote gave the games a unique tone and really made you feel like you were in the boots of a soldier, something that I as a gamer has never experienced before. He will be missed, thoughts go out to his family and friends, may he rest in piece and may his legacy live on, not just in the world of books, but in all the different medias we have come accustom to seeing the name 'Tom Clancy' in. Thank you for all the great games and the memories which you have given me. I will play Rainbow Six Vegas tonight in your memory!Wednesday, October 02, 2013 @ 05:18 PM
rip tom cant say he will be missed i didnt know him in person but loved the games rip 8(Wednesday, October 02, 2013 @ 05:23 PM
I met him once in New York and got my Splinter Cell book autographed. He was just an amazing guy, very smart and honest. He will be missed.Wednesday, October 02, 2013 @ 05:43 PM
@56, where has anyone said that? Fuck off troll.Wednesday, October 02, 2013 @ 05:54 PM
@61 I did, but I don't see how it's "low". I said that so people can appreciate games. Did I ever say this wasn't sad news? No. What better way to remember someone then a sale? Take it how you want. But I guess Harmonix is "low" since they had that sale when Avenged Sevenfolds drummer died?!Wednesday, October 02, 2013 @ 05:58 PM
The Hunt For Red October was a good book. The medium works for it as the guys in the sub, much like the reader, can't see shit either and the sub guys have to keep track of their position through mapping and calculations. This was totally lost in the movie with outside the sub CGI twattery (The ugly early kind of CGI) Plus the book has the random jump to another sub whose reactor gets fucked up and everyone on board slowly melts/drowns to death. Thanks for kick starting Splinter Cell too!Wednesday, October 02, 2013 @ 06:10 PM
Eh, never cared for any of the Tom Clancy games aside from the Ghost Recon series but the loss of a life is always tragic, condolences to his family, friends, and fans.Wednesday, October 02, 2013 @ 07:28 PM
sad news, he's like "madden" to military games.Wednesday, October 02, 2013 @ 07:32 PM
Wow R.I.P. Tom clancy games will never be the same nowWednesday, October 02, 2013 @ 08:02 PM
:'(Wednesday, October 02, 2013 @ 08:22 PM
Splinter Cell was the best thing he had his name one even if he didn't create/write it. it's the one thing in the Clancy-verse that really deserves a movie.Wednesday, October 02, 2013 @ 09:29 PM
I'm gonna miss the Clance.Wednesday, October 02, 2013 @ 10:56 PM
My condolences. He was a great man with a lot of inspirational work that led to the development of some of the best tactical shooters. Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, and Splinter Cell. He will be missed.Thursday, October 03, 2013 @ 02:29 AM

“Nothing is as real as a dream. The world can change around you, but your dream will not. Responsibilities need not erase it. Duties need not obscure it. Because the dream is within you, no one can take it away.” —Tom Clancy ...RIP ...six out.Saturday, November 02, 2013 @ 09:46 PM
I only ever picke dup one book of his titles: Without Remorse. I didn't like it but it was only because I was still young at the time and hadn't developed a respect for novels tat I do now. I meant to collect all his written works and add them to my library. now with his passing I am even more drawn to do so. I cant stand the thought of not owning the works of such a brilliant word artisan. R.I.P. Tom Clancey.Sunday, December 15, 2013 @ 11:22 AM
So young...wonder what the cause was?

In response to the news of Clancy's passing, Ubisoft has expressed its sadness, posting the following statement on Facebook.
"We are saddened to learn of Tom Clancy’s passing and our condolences go out to his family. Tom Clancy was an extraordinary author with a gift for creating detailed, engrossing fictional stories that captivated audiences around the world.
"The teams at Ubisoft, especially at the Red Storm studio, are incredibly grateful to have collaborated with and learned from him, and we are humbled by the opportunity to carry on part of his legacy through our properties that bear his name."
