Hot on the heels of our Thief hands-on preview, Square Enix has released a new gameplay trailer, showing an excerpt taken from the demo section we played in and around the game's hub location, Stonemarket.

There's also a glimpse of Auldale Bridge going up in flames, as riots and discontent reign on the streets of The City. As you'd expect, there's a lot of theft going on too, as Garrett lays his hands on much coveted golden trinkets.

Give the new gameplay trailer a watch below, then read our hot off the press hands-on preview here, if you haven't already. DO IT. Thief is out in February 2014 on Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Is it just me, or could that vocal delivery be more uninspired?
I miss the old guy.

I've never played any of the previous installments, and I've not followed much of this one but it's looking pretty good. How accurate would it be to compare this to the stealth part of dishonoured?

Looks like Mirror's Edge gameplay. Still not sold on it though.

Thoughts on Thief from those who went to Eurogamer Expo seemed pretty positive and they were generally a negative bunch.

Thief, Titanfall and, surprisingly, Killer Instinct seemed to come out the other side without a bad word said about them.

This trailer makes me a bit more interested than the dry gameplay vid from a month or two ago.

#6 Played it as Eurogamer. It seems to have sturred up the same bunch who whined about Hitman Absolution being casualised.

Tbh, I liked it a look. It felt a lot more fluid than what I had seen in gameplay.

Also TitanFall and KI were good to. KI being the slightly more interesting for me, at least.

Number Six... talking to yourself again?! :-p

I can see why you referenced "Mirror's Edge" gameplay. I was under the impression that "Thief" was going to be third-person, but that video makes it look like first-person. Perhaps it's only in a certain mode, or just the mode they were showing just for that clip!

REALLY? I'd pay an extra $10.00 if I could get the game by Christmas!

Dark Shadows was always first person - so yeah, Thief will be first person too.
