LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is set to receive a demo next week, giving you a chance to sample the game and a smattering of its colourful comic book cast ahead of the game's launch.

The game is set to land for current-gen consoles in North America next week too, while Europe will have to wait a little longer, until November 15th. The Xbox One version of the game will follow on November 22nd.

Meanwhile, TT Games has also revealed that LEGO Marvel Super Heroes will get more characters on top of the 100+ already available in the full game, with a day one 'Asgard Character Pack' that adds Kurse, Hogun, Malekith, Volstagg, Odin, Fandral, Sif and Jane Foster to the already bulging roster of heroes. A price for the add-on has yet to be announced.

The LEGO Marvel Super Heroes demo will arrive on Xbox Live from October 15th.

What??? Why not just include them in the full game? Also Malekith is used twice in the list.

Or maybe because they'd already finished the game before the film was announced/etc. The film isn't even out yet and the game has obviously been finished for a while.

I think it's a way to promote Thor: The Dark World, which opens a few weeks after the game releases. With the exception of Malekith, & Kurse, all the other characters were in the first Thor movie. My guess is the DLC will say something along the lines of "Get the exclusive Asgard characters featuring the deadly villain Malekith who can be seen in Thor: The Dark World, in theaters November 8"

Maybe they started working on it after the game went gold instead of delaying it. The developers need to do something until the game ships so why not work on extra content?

Some of the characters featured in the pack are the "Movie versions" and are already in the game in their comic book costumes, Malekith is an example of this.

OT: I am so excited for this game, but will probably skip the demo.

I think sometimes they put way too much emphasis on character numbers instead of just making it fun and enjoyable. I haven't played one in a while but I still have Lego Batman 2 to try, will probably pick this up when it drops in price.

@18 Lego Batman 2 is superb. Prefer it to the original.

Soo looking forward to Lego Marvel though.

Although I know it'll probably never happen.. But I would love it, (seeing as they have the licence for DC and marvel) a crossover of the 2.. Can you imagine the possibilities.. Especially in the Lego universe.

The demo is brilliant.
Can't wait for the full game.
voice acting is spot on, characters are nailed down to the last detail (watching hulk transform back to bruce banner and then back to hulk again again is particularly satifying.
