The Bureau: XCOM Declassified and BioShock 2 studio 2K Marin has been hit by staff layoffs that have apparently affected the "majority" of staff working there according to a source. Said source claims that only those employees who've moved to Rod Fergusson's (former Irrational and Epic producer) new Bay Area 2K outfit are safe.
"We can confirm staff reductions at 2K Marin," a 2K representative confirmed. "While these were difficult decisions, we regularly evaluate our development efforts and have decided to reallocate creative resources. Our goal to create world-class video game titles remains unchanged."
Meanwhile another source has revealed to Polygon that they are "100 percent sure" that 2K Marin has ceased operating entirely, and at least one employee has declared via Twitter, that their time at 2K Marin is at an end.
