As next-gen creeps ever closer we're ramping up our look at the next-generation of games. We've done some Dead Rising 3 stuff, and we've also done some Kinect Sports Rivals Preseason stuff, now it's time to look at Battlefield 4's 64-player madness on next-gen consoles.

The main lure for the next-gen Battlefield title, aside from the luscious visuals, is quite easily its huge-scale 64-player battles. That, and it runs at 60 frames per second. So not only is it smooth and pretty, but it's mental as well. Sure, PC players have been experiencing this for quite some time, but this experience is new on consoles.

Being the nice folks that we are, we decided to capture a smattering of footage for you to gawp over - it's PS4 footage, but it looks just as hot on the Xbox One. With a look at all the maps, all the modes, a bit of levolution thrown in, some glimpses at the next-gen destructible environments, and more importantly, how awesome the minute-to-minute all out warfare is, we've got you covered with this here 16 minute video.

All you need to do now is sit back, watch and enjoy. Oh, and look out for our Battlefield 4 Xbox One review tomorrow (5pm GMT, to be precise). Be excited, very excited.
