Xbox One Review: Ryse: Son of Rome

Ryse: Son of Rome shares a lot of similarities with Crimson Dragon. Both titles were announced years ago under different names, intended as Xbox 360 games controlled primarily using Kinect. Yet both games now arrive as Xbox One launch titles, with the majority of the Kinect functionality stripped away.
The question is, does Ryse share any further similarities with Grounding’s flappy-winged on-rails shooter? We reviewed Crimson Dragon earlier this week and it was a massive disappointment, despite offering some fairly interesting systems. Will Crytek’s Roman revenge story share this same ignominious fate? Or is it an essential addition to your Xbox One game library?
