Microsoft has announced that Xbox One has enjoyed a record-breaking few weeks since its launch, racking up over 2 million consoles "sold through to consumers" globally in the 18 days it's been on sale. That translates to 111,111 units sold per day, which is apparently a record-setting pace for Xbox.
Xbox One users have spent 83 million hours playing games, watching TV and playing apps since the console's launch on November 22nd. Over 39 million Xbox One achievements have also been unlocked in that time, with over 595 million in total Gamerscore accumulated among the online community.
Microsoft's Xbox team is now working to ensure that demand for Xbox One over the holiday period is met, delivering consoles to retailers as quickly as possible in time for Christmas. No doubt that 2 million number could increase dramatically in the next few weeks.
