Having revealed its procedurally-generated game of space exploration, No Man's Sky, Hello Games still has yet to reveal what platforms it will be releasing on. It's being touted as a 'next-gen' title, so naturally it's a shoo-in for Xbox One. Or is it?
"I would be super-psyched if they want to bring that game to Xbox," said ID@Xbox Program Director Chris Charla. "We are obviously huge evangelists for our platform."
Is Charla planning to get in touch with Hello Games regarding a release for No Man's Sky on Xbox One then? "We think it's rad - some of the things you can do with Kinect and SmartGlass and our controller and the impulse triggers are super-cool. So we're constantly out advocating our platform, and we hope that developers give us a call."
Right. Fingers crossed that No Man's Sky does end up on Xbox One. Anything that promotes "creating next-gen gameplay" as Hello Games puts it, is certainly of interest in our book. Make it happen, Microsoft.
