Capcom has revealed some new features and modes for the upcoming Ultra Street Fighter IV.
The first of these is a new Battle Mode, in which teams of three fight it out in turn. When a player wins a round the defeated fighter is eliminated, while the victor survives to battle with the next player. Their health does not regenerate. It’s the same mode found in the King of Fighters series.
Next up is a new Online Training Mode, which allows you to practice online against a friend, giving you more options than just training in either local co-op or against the CPU. You can see both of these modes in action in the trailer below, alongside a look at the new Red Focus and Ultra Combo Double systems.
Ultra Street Fighter IV will be available as an expansion for Super Street Fighter IV and SSFIV: AE in early June” for $14.99/€14.99. It will also be available as a standalone game in August 2014 for $39.99/€39.99 and will include all the previously released costume DLC.
Oh and there’s five new fighters too; Elena, Hugo, Poison and Rolento. The fifth new character has yet to be revealed.
