I must be the only one who found GTAV to be "decent" but not GOTY material, and The Last of Us to be terrible outside of the typical sad life story.

I mean GTAV's multiplayer was awful and unfinished for ages, with the whole iFruit being unavailable to most of the population fiasco to add to it, and The Last Of Us being nothing but hiding behind boxes from enemies with terrible AI most of the way.

I haven't touched GTAV since I got my XB1...

Good to see TLOU getting recognition for it's best half. The multiplayer.
Here's some 240p looking thing I editted together about a week ago for those who haven't played it.

On the other hand GTAV being nominated for best MP despite it's patchiness is like some industry in-joke.

Splinter Cell Blacklist should have gotten an audio nom.

@4 - what are you talking about, the game had a family in it: two brothers working together to save their father with flashes back to images/thoughts of their mother.

I'm just kidding, yea that game defiantly had some dark tones (suicide, imprisonment, death, sickness, ritual sacrifice, war, ravid wolves) to it to accent all the light-heated tones (playful banter, exploration, baby seals, helpful trolls, friendship between two brothers).

The Swapper was one of my favorites from last year, kinda wish that would've received more recognition.

Nice to see Papers, Please and Beyobd: Two Souls in a bunch of categories here.

No surprises here. Both gta 5 and tlou have great stories, characters, beautiful design, environments, soundtracks and highly fun gameplay

@2 How in the hell was TLoU terrible?! Let me guess....you're only equipped for Xbox only games! There's a reason why TLoU is nominated in damn near EVERY gaming awards. Just like if Halo 5 would be GOTY, it wouldn't be farfetched at all seeing how epic it is.

How the f*** did Battlefield 4 get nominated for the Multiplayer category????
It's STILL broken on every platform and its four months after release and they're still trying to placate fans with meaningless free stuff. Battlefield 3 I would have applauded but 4...that's a joke!

The last of us is a truly awful game, not fun, typically American linear story which holds little interest. Bioshock infinite was GOTY by a mile last year in every sense.

I've gotta say seeing TLOU and B:Ifinite everywhere is really good. Those were hands down 2 best games I have played last year with TLOU probably being better yet. Too bad so many Xbox users missed out on it as everyone should play it at least once and see how much we have gone forward in gaming. Having said that, GTA V did everything right and was awesome overall, but hardly brought anything new to the table save for switching characters dynamic..

Bioshock infinite was amazing. One of the few games in recent times I genuinely enjoyed. Troy Baker is a boss.

gta was the better game with the gameplay and content material with the last of us for story because the gameplay was generic. the biggest complaint of ellie not being seen by the a.i was what the devs wanted in the first place
