New Sonic Unleashed Trailer

Another trailer comes out of SEGA's never ending bag of tricks today and this time up to the plate, Sonic Unleashed. With promise of old skool side scrolling gameplay, Sonic Unleashed takes our little blue friend back to its 2D roots and mixes it with some more 3D action and a side of Sonic we've never seen before.

Have I confused you? Well, watch the trailer and it'll explain all and then some.

This would be much sweeter if it were a downloadble arcade game rather than a full game. Looks pretty repetitive to be a full game.

I don't think an arcade game would ever have graphics as complex as this. This is a trailer... how can you base the entire game on a minute of video. There is also puzzle solving and it's not all speed if you saw the "unleashed" Sonic.

I have a feeling that all I'll be doing is holding the forward direction in the parts when Im actually normal-Sonic...pretty graphics aside, Im very dubious about this being the "return to form" which we've all been waiting for...Im willing to accept being proven wrong, but I dont see it happening in my honest opinion.

Now, i love sonic, really i do, first game i ever had, but when you are releasing it against games like COD5 and Gears 2, it aint got a chance.
I really hope this is the start of a good 3D sonic game, but it still all looks a bit too manic, as in frustrating that it keeps falling off sort-a frustrating...
I'll definately get this, but not on release, nor ahead of the big games.

Looks like Sega still has some surprises left in their sack of tricks after all...
