Splinter Cell: Blacklist Game Director Patrick Redding has departed Ubisoft Montreal for Batman: Arkham Origins dev Warner Bros. Games Montreal, taking up a new role as Creative Director on an unannounced project.

Spied by web sleuth Superannuation, Redding's LinkedIn CV has been updated to reflect the change, which happened earlier this month.

Redding had been with Ubisoft since 2004, with notable credits including Narrative Game Designer on Far Cry 2, Game Director on Splinter Cell: Conviction's co-op mode, and most recently Game Director on 2013's Splinter Cell: Blacklist.

What could WB Games Montreal's unannounced project be? We'll let you know as soon as it's revealed.

  • Who cares! It will probably suck and have unnecessary multi-player.
  • Shoulda stayed with Ubi, WB Games already proved with Batman how shit they are, the game itself was alright, but man, the glitches...even the DLC was broken!
  • Blacklist was one of my favorite games for the 360.
  • #2 I agreed with you. Patrick Redding making big mistakes. :)
  • Next game is Batman Arkham Origins game patches for $60!
  • While I'm not too enthusiastic about WB Montreal, let's hope it's a new stealth game because Blacklist rocked...
  • Splinter Cell just wasn't the same without Michael Ironside, I know, I know, voice acting doesn't make a game, but does anyone agree that hearing Kiefer Sutherland as Big Boss is a little strange? Granted he did a great job IMO, but Kiefer also said he did voice acting for a new Mortal Kombat... there is your next WB game.
