Had Rocksteady decided to develop Batman: Arkham Knight across last-gen and next-gen consoles, chances are we wouldn't be afforded the opportunity to drive the Batmobile. Imagine the studio closing out its Arkham trilogy without exploring the "power fantasy" of getting behind the wheel of one of the most iconic vehicles ever conceived. It's a notion that's almost impossible to comprehend. Well, not quite, but you get the idea.
Imagine Rocksteady being unable to fully explore the entirety of Gotham City too. It's another aspect of Arkham Knight that couldn't be realised without the power of next-gen platforms, just one of a variety of revelations offered up by Producer Dax Ginn in our Arkham Knight interview.
We also grilled Ginn on building a high level of detail into an open-world that's five times the size of Arkham City, and telling a focused and compelling narrative within such a large sandbox environment. You'll also find out more about the Batmobile's design and conception, and new villain, the eponymous Arkham Knight himself. Watch!
