Happy Wars' 13th title update is now available for the free-to-play XBLA game, adding character growth enhancing 'Support Items', temporary rank-up accelerating 'Premium Memberships' and 'Item' Evolution', which makes items more powerful and "cooler-looking".

Alongside the update comes the return of a collaborative event for Minecraft and Castle Crashers too, running for two weeks in the game's 'Bounty Hunters' mode. Playing the Minecraft event this week will earn rare equipment based on the game's hero Steve and the iconic Creeper. If you have any Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition achievement unlocked, you'll automatically be awarded the Creeper. This event runs until April 16th.

From April 17th, the Castle Crashers Bounty Hunters event will get underway in Happy Wars, with equipment rewards based on the Blue Knight and Barbarian available to unlock. Again, having any Castle Crashers achievements unlocked will automatically grant the Barbarian item. The Castle Crashers event will run in Happy Wars until April 23rd.

Here's a rundown of what title update 13 adds to Happy Wars:

Main title update content:

  • Support Items added
  • Support Items are consumable items that can be used to accelerate the growth of a character. They can be purchased by spending Happy Tickets at the Item Shop.
  • Premium Membership added
  • Premium Membership grants various bonuses for a period of time.
  • Item Evolution added
  • When certain items reach level 10, the player can choose to convert that item into a more powerful version. This can be done in the Item Level-Up screen.
  • Item Shop updated
  • The Item Shop no longer sells Item Sets. Instead, Support Items and Premium Memberships are available in the Item Shop.

Finally, ToyLogic will be introducing a giveaway campaign in which players can obtain 60 Happy Tickets by logging in between now and April 16th. You can use your free Happy Tickets to buy in-game premium gear for Happy Wars.
