Konami has revealed that budget The Phantom Pain pre-cursor Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes has shipped 1 million copies around the world, at retail. That means all digital downloads of the game have not contributed to the number.
The news was released late on Friday, following confirmation that Ground Zeroes will be receiving some free DLC this week, on May 1st. Owners of the game on Xbox platforms will be able to download the previously PlayStation-exclusive Déjà vu mission, which includes numerous callbacks to previous scenes in the series.
There’s still no release date for the next proper instalment of the Metal Gear franchise. So until Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain arrives, we’ve at least got a tiny little bit more MGS content to tide us over.
