DICE has revealed that it's releasing a Squad Join Beta for Battlefield 4 on consoles, making its easier to play with your friends in a multiplayer match, by allowing you to set up a squad for up to five people before joining a multiplayer server. That means you can all join a Battlefield 4 match as a squad and deploy directly into the game simultaneously.
Between rounds, you and your squad are guaranteed to stay together too, by choosing 'Squad Join Beta' from BF4's multiplayer menu. You can see active squads or create your own, with the squad leader designated by a star. Should you leave the squad, you can re-join at any time as long as there's a free slot. Squad Join is currently available in Conquest, Team Deathmatch, Obliteration, Rush, and Domination game modes.
Battlefield 4's Squad Join Beta is rolling out across Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4 now, and is the first iteration of the feature. A new version of Squad Join supporting additional features, maps and modes is slated to launch when Battlefield 4's Dragon's Teeth DLC releases this summer. Find out more in the video below.
