Konami has revealed that its annual profits for the financial year have seen a steep decline, with a decrease of more than half in comparison to last year, despite what the publisher called a "solid' performance for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.
Sales revenue for the financial year ending March 31st stood at ¥217.6bn ($2.1bn); only a marginal decrease year-on year from last year's ¥226bn ($2.2bn). However, profits went from ¥13.2bn ($129m) to only ¥6.2bn ($60m); a more than 50% drop compared to last year.
Konami also confirmed plans to develop new installments in its sports franchises like Pro Evolution Soccer for Xbox One and PS4, while it also plans to bring more Metal Gear related content to E3 2014 in Los Angeles next month. You can give our Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes verdict a read here.
