Dead Rising 3 has managed to shift 1.2 million copies according to Capcom, helping the company to a boost in profits that'll no doubt be very welcome given past financial losses.
The Xbox One exclusive appears to have achieved an impressive attach rate on the 5 million consoles shipped to date, with the figure suggesting between 1 in 3 or 1 in 5 consumers who own an Xbox One, also own a copy of Dead Rising.
Capcom also noted that Monster Hunter 4 sold in excess of 4.1 million units, while Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen also boasted what the company called "firm sales" for the financial year. DuckTales: Remastered also "over-performed", while Lost Planet 3 fell short of Capcom's expectations, which is attributed to "increased competition".
For the year ending March 31st, Capcom enjoyed a 9% increase in overall sales to ¥102.2 billion, with profits boosted by 16% to ¥3.4 billion. Never underestimate the ever-lasting power of chopping up a zombie.
