New Titanfall Achievements Will Only Be Added to the 'Base Game'

As Xbox gamers, specifically on this website, we have become accustomed to receiving achievements for paid downloadable content (PDLC), so much so that many won't even drop their hard-earned cash on new content without those sweet, sweet "cheevos" (did I ever mention how much I hate that word?). Earlier today Respawn's first map pack for Titanfall was released, and no achievements could be found. Often it just turns out that Microsoft's servers were not updated with the new achievements and they are fixed after a few days. Walking Dead: Season Two - Episode 3 had this issue yesterday and was just fixed about an hour ago. But generally we at least know they exist and just need to wait. The same can't be said for Titanfall's Expedition map pack. It will not offer any new achievements.
Responding to inquiries on Twitter, Respawn has confirmed that they will not be adding any achievements to the paid content packs in the game's Season Pass. "All achievements for XBOX Live are going to be integrated through the base game. Not the DLC." Titanfall has already received three title updates, including this one today, and will have more new features, game modes, and customization options coming for free in the future. These are the things they will base any additional achievements around.
While this is good news, because hey, free achievements, many people feel they have "been cheated" and "wasted their money" by purchasing the game's Season Pass as soon as it was available. Obviously anyone who purchased it will still be getting what was promised, which is the maps, but this is the reality of the modern day gamer. "No achievements, no purchase" is not an uncommon comment in our news articles. I've got my Season Pass and can't wait to try out the maps, but admittedly some new achievements would be further incentive to play seeing as I have the full 1000 Gamerscore, but need about 60 more wins to complete Generation 8 and move closer to Generation 10 for that final zero Gamerscore achievement.
Titanfall: Expedition is available now on Xbox One for $9.99, the first of three planned content packs for Titanfall via its Season Pass, which is also available now for $24.99. Expedition will be available for Xbox 360 owners in June.
