MCM London Comic Games Stage Schedule Announced, Includes Lords of the Fallen, Wasteland 2 & More

Another May, another MCM London Comic Con, and of course, another jam-packed weekend of video game related content on our Games Stage. And just like always, we’ve got some treats in store.

The MCM London Comic Con is set to take place next weekend (23rd -25th May) at the Excel Centre in London and we’ll be there all weekend presenting some amazing content on our Games Stage. 

Can’t make it? Don’t worry, we’ll be livestreaming the event on Twitch  – so get following this here channel (yes, we have a new channel… more info on that over the weekend or at the latest, early next week).

We pretty much have something for everyone, from interactive and competitive madness, some top dev talent and chilled piano tunes, to an indie workshop, some amazing world premieres and some big voice actors.

Highlights include a look at GRID Autosport and Ultra Street Fighter ahead of next month’s launch; Futurama’s Phil Marr and League of Legends’ Wendee Lee; Blazej Zywiczynski giving us a look at a brand new section of Lords of the Fallen; a TT Games All Star Panel; Interplay founder and Fallout creator Brian Fargo showing off Wasteland 2; incredibly impressive Oculus Rift title Loading Human; and Hollywood actor Flavio Parenti.

We also have the brilliant pianist Mark Fowler, the exciting MMO Wildstar and plenty of interactive content. We even have more to announce as well! Mental, right?

So come along next weekend to hang with us, get involved and have a hell of a weekend. And if you can’t, then join us on the live stream. It’s set to be one hell of a show.



4pm – “How To Be An Indie Dev”

With new tools available and access to digital distribution, it’s never been easier to make your own games. Indie developers, Steve Stopps of Lumo Developments, and Ollie Clarke, of Modern Dream, are on hand to tell you how to do it.

5pm – TBC

6pm – Resero Presents: Mark Fowler

UK piano maestro, Mark Fowler, returns to the Games Stage once again to delight and surprise attendees with an eclectic mix of sublime video game music. From Final Fantasy to Halo, and Skyrim to Kingdom Hearts, he has it all.


12pm – WildStar –Adventure & Asskicking!

Ready to blow out your eyeballs with some ass-kicking MMORPG awesomeness, Cupcake? Join WildStar’s Creative Director, Chad “Pappy” Moore and English Community Manager, Mark “Anlath” Hulmes for this hour-long extravaganza on raids, lore and all the secrets Nexus has to offer!

1pm - The TT Games All Star Panel – Attack of the LEGO!

Developers from the LEGO-centric studio, TT Games, descend on the Games Stage to talk about their LEGO development experiences. Arthur Parsons (LEGO Marvel Super Heroes), Graham Goring (The LEGO Movie Videogame), James McLoughlin and Dan McCreadie (LEGO The Hobbit) will all be on hand to answer all our questions and more. It’s a must-see for LEGO & video game enthusiasts.

2pm – Lords of the Fallen Developer Session

City Interactive’s Blazej Zywiczynski, will be on-hand to give onlookers a glimpse at their brand new, exciting next-gen RPG, Lords of the Fallen. Likened to Dark Souls, Darksiders & Zelda, if fantasy-RPGs are your bag, then get this in your diary.

3pm – Brian Fargo Presents Wasteland 2

Brian Fargo, founder of Interplay (creators of Fallout) and now founder of inXile Entertainment, joins the Games Stage to show off the post-apocalyptic RPG Wasteland 2, the sequel to the 1988 classic. Expect gameplay, the world premiere of the opening cinematic and more.

4pm – Phil LaMarr, The Man of Many Voices

Many will know Phil LaMarr as the voice of Futurama’s Hermes, but what you might not have known is that Phil has been voicing video games since before it was cool. From Darksiders and Metal Gear Solid 2 to Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and Dead Island, he really is the man of many voices.

5pm – Flavio Parenti Presents Loading Human, The Future of Video Games

Untold Games’ Creative Director and Hollywood actor, Flavio Parenti, will be on hand to show off the future of video games, the Oculus Rift title, Loading Human. With a premiere of never-before-seen-footage, a game demo and audience Q&A, watch the future of adventure games unfold before your very eyes.


12pm – The Multiplayer Mayhem Hour Featuring Trials: Fusion & Sportsfriends

Local competitive multiplayer is coming back with a bang, so we’re putting it centre stage at Sunday lunchtime on the Games Stage. Come play Trials: Fusion and Sportsfriends with us on stage and be in with a chance to win prizes.

1pm – Wendee Lee, The Voice of League of Legends’ Leona & More - CANCELLED

Wendee Lee has voiced more video games than you’ve had hot dinners – true story – and she joins us on the Games Stage to talk about her career and her roles, from Dynasty Warriors and Diablo, to Persona and of course, League of Legends.

2pm – The GRID Autosport Fastest Lap Challenge

Codemasters will be joining us on the Games Stage on Sunday to help adjudicate another one of our epic fastest lap challenges, this time on the upcoming release, GRID Autosport. It’s you versus the track… oh, and everyone else at the show, all in the name of prizes. No pressure.

4pm – Challenge Capcom: The Ultra Street Fighter IV Edition

Ahead of its June release, Capcom are bringing Ultra Street Fighter IV to the Games Stage and laying down the challenge: beat us and win a prize. It’s that simple. Come on down & try your luck at the latest title in the Street Fighter series.
